That's the comment I got from someone at Walmart as I was paying for my iPad today.

He was paying for something at the register before me and saw the line and asked the sales guy "How much is one of those?" The sales guy told him $499 at which point he rolled his eyes and shook his head and said if he were going to spend $499, he would put the money in his dirt bike.

I should have told him "Well we can't all be rednecks..." but didn't feel like dropping to his level. What's up with people and making comments? I don't give a **** what you're doing with your money, why do you care what I'm doing with mine?

I must admit that I would love to disagree with you but have experienced the same thing

There really is nothing more annoying to me then someone commenting on how expensive an item of mine is while I am about to pay for it.

Such a rude, arrogant remark by someone who would probably be just as offended if I made some snarky remark about their products

How does using an Apple product NOT make you a redneck? I've met a lot of redneck Mac users (particularly at MacNN o_O)

Maybe someone hasn't ever bothered to cruise by the community discussion/politics forums XD Lots of rednecks.

I had a coworker tel me it must be nice to have money to get an iPad and iPhone. I told her must be nice to pay off a $35000 boat in 2.5 years, pay off a land Crusier and then buy a Cadillac SRX

dang walmart rednecks and their fancy eeeeeeelectronics. :D

hahah i LOL'ed at this comment. thanks

And to the OP, why does it bother you so much what his opinion is? You said yourself that he should worry about where he spends his own money and you do yours. Then why worry about what comments he is making?

This is all part of Apples plan to mass market their products which explains why the quality is getting worse. It's no longer about premium products (yet Apple will deny as usual) it's now only about money. That's why they've become like Sony.

Doh, it's ALWAYS been about money, it's a profit driven business not a charity.
