Guys,

Thanks for input but 4G toggle is on. It tries to find signal then No service. This is in areas such as my home where, in first few days of ownership showed full 4G signal. I travel by train to work and regularly picked up odd bits of 4G. No with 4G toggle on No Service. Turn it off 3G is fine.

Something seriously not right and a restore only fixed for a day or so. Tried network settings everything. Even tried the two profiles available for Three on that site suggested earlier. Nothing changed.

Have booked genius appointment for Saturday. Not sure what else they can suggest other than a swapout. I suspect this may happen again though.

I suspect this could be a network issue rather than an issue with your phones. Have you guys tried contacting Three? Give them a call and see what they say.

Having said that, I have a colleague who recently bought the iPhone 6 and had a 'No Service' on his device a few hours after using it and managed to replace it at the Apple Store. So maybe there is an issue with the iPhone 6's antenna or the OS.

Also, this might sound obvious, but are you getting a weak signal?

I'm on Three and have had no issues with 4G.

Yes rang three first time it happened. They recommended a full restore which I did. Restored 4G for a day or so then back to No Service. Very strange. There's seems to be a minor pattern in both our phones are sim free from Apple Store. No idea why that would make a difference. Where I am in sutton, London three state a very strong 4G signal inside and out and indeed first few days of use saw full 4g signal here. Now it's just no service whenever 4G is switched on.

Sounds like it could be a phone issue. Book a Genius appointment to have them check it over and possibly get a replacement. Is yours an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus? Seems like it might just be the iPhone 6's that are having the issue.

Also can you share wallpaper please ;)

Sure, it's the official Android 5.0 Lollipop wallpaper. Here's the cropped version I'm currently using: Link An alternative version (also cropped): Link
Be sure to zoom out when setting the wallpaper.

Not sure if this will work, but iOS 8.1.1 released today may fix any 'bug' if it is a bug. Mines is sim free from Apple Store, but it's a 6 Plus. I doubt the fact that it's sim-free would cause any issues.

Also, try testing the signal in Field Test Mode. Open the Phone app, type *3001#12345#* and press the call button. What number are you seeing on the top left of the screen?

EDIT:

You can also try going to Settings > General > Reset - Reset Network Settings.

Cheers for wallpaper.

Mine is a space grey 6. Hopefully will get sorted at apple on Friday.

Installed latest update. No change. Tried resetting network multiple times. No good. Full restored iPhone twice.

This is screenshot of field test when 4G toggle on, in area with known strong 4G. Sutton, London.

I'm on three but with the Note and I never fail to get 4G when in the more central parts of London. This is not a troll attempt. I am just saying you should get that sorted because there is copious amounts of 4G around here!

Just to finish this story, I have just visit the Apple Store in Kingston, London. He confirmed I should be picking up strong 4G in the store and tried my sim in another phone. It picked up the signal no problem there confirming phone issue.

He swapped out the phone for a new one and even swapped out my Apple Leather Case which had the leather coming away on a corner. Great customer service once again from Apple as I personally have always had.

Let's hope the 4G connection stays now!
