Disney+ is now live in The Netherlands, and offering 4K content. Surely 4K Disney content on Apple TV is just a matter of time now.
Disney has offered 4K content for a while, just not on Apple TV because Apple won't let them charge more than $20 (Disney charges $25 elsewhere).

Any sign of 4k Disney stuff coming to the UK? We won't be getting Disney+ till at least next year, so this would be really nice right now....I have a big collection of Disney movies I would love to rewatch in 4K.

Other than Disney+ there’s no sign of the US getting 4K so even more unlikely it coming to the UK anytime soon.

I had Star Wars episode 9 on pre-order from iTunes but when it dropped in HD I requested a refund (even though it was my fault). Got refunded almost instantly. Either this is excellent customer service or Apple are trying to make a point to Disney?

i find it bizarre that HD is still considered an acceptable maximum quality for new content, given how long 4K devices have been available.

Currently Disney won’t support Apple in 4K. Apparently they don’t like Apples price point of 4K at HD prices, they want 4K to be at a premium price which Apple don’t want unless the studios allow us to download and keep 4K like we can with HD.

Makes sense...If these companies are after profit (..and who isn't in this streaming workable infested world), then you start your own service, then you have your own playground to play in,

Ya, but would be kind of dishonest, charging more for 4K prices.... Every one would get annyed their more expensive for literally the same, but shiny 4K, bit-rate.. Particually when we're used to HD prices

Plus, it would also quench the appetite of Disney and others to fill that gap (which probably wont work in all caes neither)
