"4S" Apple's code name for the iPhone 5

Let's just hope the 'S' in 'iPhone 4S' doesn't stand for 'sucks'....

EDIT: Apologies - I've been at work 12 hours and I'm a bit punchy. To quote my deranged daughter: 'My quirky sense of humour isn't everybody's cup of blended dead babies'.

What about the guy they saw with an iphone 5 on the train. The viewer said it look like a Galaxy SII. They must have let one iphone 5 off campus.

well taken as is as the only post he's made in this thread, there's no sarcasm there, usually people whack a :rolleyes: on it or something, no-one is going to review a posters previous posts in other threads to check for sarcasm unless they have far too much time on their hands...

I just happened to look at some of his other comments and noticed a trend.
 
this theory doesn't hold any merit.

If Apple redesigned the iphone, they definitely use more catching name for marketing purposes. 4S is sounded so old.

Vodaphone Germany is listing bumpers for 4S. The bumper doesn't work on the new design.

I don't know what they would call, but I don't think Apple is stupid enough to choose '4S' for the new design iphone. If they choose '4S', it will be the same design as iphone 4. Otherwise, it will be some names else.
