Wait: the 4s is NOT even considered a real upgrade unless you are coming from a 3G or 3GS.
Do you really think you are going to be dropping your phone that much?
Isn't the new iPhone expected to return to a metal (aluminum) back? If so, this might reduce risk of damage if dropped and could be a good reason to wait.

I don't like cases either, but I pay for accidental damage insurance through my bank so that if I drop my phone and it shatters, I can claim for it.
If you don't mind me asking, how much are you paying for that insurance? I have PNC, do they do something like that too?
