If I were a privacy nut I would probably enable Touch ID.

Interesting story, perhaps.
I didn't read it because you didn't type in paragraphs.
So I've lost all credibility because I'm not a fan of touch ID due to privacy. That's funny. I'm not even going to get into specifics. But see "fifth amendment" and make your own decision.
As for why I need so much battery. My job is such that I'm always on the go, always on the phone (6,000 minutes a month), always texting and always emailing. So no, I don't sit around and play with my phone all day. But I need a minimum of 8 solid hours, assuming I'm not near a charger.
So you went from a 5S to a 5C because your battery didn't last as long as you wanted? I think is stupid. Better to have exchange the 5S for another one or actually calibrate it properly.
This actually is probably true. I have the 5c and my first one was not getting good battery life. I took it and got another one and calibrated it properly now it's great.
The battery on the 5s is actually better if calibrated properly. Truth is I think they are both great phones and the 5c fit my needs wonderfully only because I don't like the 5/5s design.
Good on you. It kind of sucks that Apple isn't aiming to improve the battery life at all. It just seems like they are satisfied if screen-on time is around 7 hours. If it gets any higher, they just make the phone smaller.
My iPhone 4S also gets around 7 hours. I really don't think the iPhone 5 improves on the battery life at all. People overrate it.
Why would you do this OP?
A brand new 5c's for AT&T (easiest to unlock and cheapest) are selling for $350 around me ( Midwest). You could have sold your 5s for probably a good $150 more than you paid for it then just gotten a 5c for half of what you ended up getting it for. I guess it's a good thing your happy with your phone now, but that was some terrible math and money management. You could have came out with much more money and the same phone (without contract). But oh well. Just my .02
Was the 5C selling for the price from Apple? Or regular people? I thought about selling my 5S privately, but it sounded to me like the Space Gray was the most abundant and least popular, so I didn't think I'd make any money on it.
Also, to the poster who said I'm stupid for not getting another 5S, in my original post, I plainly said I went through 2 of them. I also calibrated both of them. I've been around the block a few times.
I purchased the 5s the first day and then ordered another 5s because verizon allowed unlimited data people to upgrade. But I had to return the original 5s because the return period was up, so I'm using a 5c right now while I wait for my new 5s. And I get your point, OP. Except for the fact that it's a bit heavier and wasn't available with a white face or 64gb, I really like the 5c. It reminds me of the white polycarbonate MacBooks. I'm not trying to convince anyone that 5c is better than 5s, but I do want to point out that there are different strokes for different folks.
The fact is, this was started to tell people my story. Don't like it? Don't read it. Don't comment. Go away. This wasn't started to convince anyone of anything. It's just an opinion put out there for reference. That's it.
While there are some good comments, some informative ones and some polite ones, there are also a bunch of turd burglars who feel the need to vehemently defend the 5s like it's their mother. Get a life guys. Oh and while you're at it, FCK off. :-D
