5.5 inch iPhone - why?
Bottom line is that there is a market for it. People demand it so the manufacturers make it. End of discussion. It doesn't have to be for everyone. Same goes for anything else in life. We have choices and people are able to buy what their wallets and desires can afford.

I likewise don't use the "phone" portion of my iPhone pretty much ever. It is used mostly for the internet while I'm out, and texting. Even so, I decided to get the iPhone 6 and not the 6 Plus. To me, even though I have huge hands, based on videos I've seen, the 6 Plus simply looked too big, and was $100 extra for something that might be too cumbersome to use one-handed (something I do a lot) or fit into my pants pocket, or take to the gym. I am curious what it would be like to have, but my gut told me that the 6 was the better option for me. It's still bigger than my 5s, anyway!
