The only reason the SE exists is because there are users who love the 4" factor. Giving users the option to choose between 4", 4.7", 5.5" and possibly 5.7" attacks a wide demographic of users. Apple offers 4 different iPads (not in the same year). The iPhone is "failing & struggling" to capture the innovation of the competition who release 5-6 phones a year. If Samsung, LG, Asus... Can release 4-5 phones a year, why can't Apple.
I'm just saying that there is nothing in this report that screams credible to me. The only thing I can see is a picture of NOT the 5.7" device back. Everything else is just words.I know the photo isn't the 5.7", but it's mentioned in the report. Also, the base storage is said to be 32Gb in the article, not 64. Honestly I don't know if it's that legit or not, but it's another rumor so I figured I'd share.
It doesn't really make sense to have a 5.7" model when you already have a 5.5" model. There's barely a difference in size between the two.
That's what I was thinking... it's less than a 1/4" difference ... why bother...
Agreed; it may not make the most sense, but it is the direction Apple is taking. I wouldn't be surprised to see two different 5.5", but if there is indeed a Pro, .2" would definitely help differentiate it and make it appealing to those who want the absolutely biggest iPhone possible.Yet there are two ipads, one called the pro, exactly the same size. A macbook and macbook pro an inch apart.
With the direction apple is going it seems possible. Macbook, macbook pro. Ipad, ipsd pro. Iphone, possible iphone pro.

I will probably consider it. But i think the Plus is already a bit too big for me. I love my 6 and will probably just get a SG 128GB iPhone 7. No plus, no pro, no probExactly. There are also those that would pay the extra money to have the "pro" Version.
What does that have to do with the size difference though? The iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro are the same size. The iPad Pro isn't a Pro because it has a 0.2" larger screen.Yet there are two ipads, one called the pro, exactly the same size. A macbook and macbook pro an inch apart.

If it happens I think it has far more to do with the pro name and more money than it does size difference. It could easily be the same size.
I could see Apple releasing two 5.5" iPhones. One Plus and one Pro. But I think they'll add the extra fifth of an inch to more easily distinguish the two.But nobody is arguing against having an iPhone Pro, just the point in having a display that is only 0.2" bigger. It's almost pointless.

Also, the Pro is the current gen iPad while the iPad Air 2 came out close to 2 years ago. It's the old model.

The person you quoted only pointed out how useless an extra 0.2" would be. They didn't say anything about "Pro" features, so if anyone has a comprehension problem, it's you.You clearly have comprehension problems as you are arguing the same thing I stated. I never said anywhere there was a point to being 0.2" larger.
I stated in the post you quoted:
"If it happens I think it has far more to do with the pro name and more money than it does size difference. It could easily be the same size."
*CLEARLY* I said it's about the pro name and not the size. There's a macbook pro and air both in the same size, you don't like it then contact cook and get upset. Pro does not mean bigger, it could be the same size, 1/4", 1" or any size difference at all. I *NEVER* said it was a pro because it was larger and to insinuate I did is blatently false. Try actually reading and understanding the sentence above this paragraph before making false comments.
Bye, dishonesty in posts makes them not worth reeding.
The person you quoted didn't even mention the word Pro.Yet there are two ipads, one called the pro, exactly the same size. That's what I was thinking... it's less than a 1/4" difference ... why bother...
Same here doesn't matter if they lauch plus or pro with more features.Simply going for the regular iPhone 7I will probably consider it. But i think the Plus is already a bit too big for me. I love my 6 and will probably just get a SG 128GB iPhone 7. No plus, no pro, no prob![]()
Yep! iPhone Plus is too big for a phone. I have an iPad if I want biggerSame here doesn't matter if they lauch plus or pro with more features.Simply going for the regular iPhone 7
The "Pro" devices are not called "Pro" because of their size ... and IF it was the reasoning, the .2" bump is marginal, at best... What's the point to creating a whole new assembly line process for a fifth of an inch? It's pointless. Make it 1/2" bigger or don't bother. Can you imagine the nightmare for the retail stored and accessory (read "case") makers?
I call BS and say there is NO WAY Apple creates a new model that has a .2" larger screen.

I didn't say the Plus was close to an iPad, I just said that since I already have a large screen iPad, I don't need my iPhone to be 5.5 inches. I'd rather have my iPhone be more comfortable to hold. These posts are hilarious. The 6s plus is closer in size to the se than to the ipad mini, not even close to the ipad. Stop trying to justify tiny hands by comparing the phone to an ipad, it makes you look ridiculous.

My god, what is it with you people. You left out the part where I clearly stated that. Are schools in the us truly that bad?
"If it happens I think it has far more to do with the pro name and more money than it does size difference. It could easily be the same size."
You quoted my post except for the part above and it says what you did. Jeezus.
Welcome to the adios club.
The iPad is not a replacement for the iPhone, I never said that. If anything the Plus would be a replacement for the iPad for some people, but not for me. I like to have both iPhone and iPad. I'd rather have a comfortable iPhone which for me is 4.7", and a bigger screened iPad that is immersive but not too huge, which for me is 9.7".Me too, a 4" phone is far too tiny to be a phone. Very uncomfortable to hold with my big hands. I would rather my phone be more comfortable, even at 6".
"Yep! iPhone Plus is too big for a phone. I have an iPad if I want bigger"
You are calling the ipad a replacement for a 5.5" phone and if you can't comfortably hold a 5.5" phone how can you hold a 10" ipad. I would think you would need a crane or something.
If the ipad is considered a replacement then yo MUST be doing the same things except making calls.
It's like saying I do not need a tiny se because I have an ipod shuffle.
If your iPod Shuffle can do everything the SE can, then you're a lucky guy...
