Well according to a new front-page rumor, the storage tiers will be 32, 128, and 256 like it said in the report i mentioned.

The only reason the SE exists is because there are users who love the 4" factor. Giving users the option to choose between 4", 4.7", 5.5" and possibly 5.7" attacks a wide demographic of users. Apple offers 4 different iPads (not in the same year). The iPhone is "failing & struggling" to capture the innovation of the competition who release 5-6 phones a year. If Samsung, LG, Asus... Can release 4-5 phones a year, why can't Apple.

The iPhone isn't failing, the market is just saturated with them. Sales can't grow forever. Every product has to hit a plateau eventually.

The thing is, the simplicity of Apple's lineup has always been seen as an advantage over other manufacturers. I'm not sure that it's in their best interest to start offering several different phones each year like Samsung does. Apple uses the appeal of simplicity to their advantage, and guess what, that strategy has been enormously successful for them.

I know the photo isn't the 5.7", but it's mentioned in the report. Also, the base storage is said to be 32Gb in the article, not 64. Honestly I don't know if it's that legit or not, but it's another rumor so I figured I'd share.
I'm just saying that there is nothing in this report that screams credible to me. The only thing I can see is a picture of NOT the 5.7" device back. Everything else is just words.

That's what I was thinking... it's less than a 1/4" difference ... why bother...

Yet there are two ipads, one called the pro, exactly the same size. A macbook and macbook pro an inch apart.

With the direction apple is going it seems possible. Macbook, macbook pro. Ipad, iPad pro. Iphone, possible iphone pro.

If it happens I think it has far more to do with the pro name and more money than it does size difference. It could easily be the same size.

Agreed; it may not make the most sense, but it is the direction Apple is taking. I wouldn't be surprised to see two different 5.5", but if there is indeed a Pro, .2" would definitely help differentiate it and make it appealing to those who want the absolutely biggest iPhone possible.

Exactly. There are also those that would pay the extra money to have the "pro" Version.

I won't get a phone maller than 5.5", mine now is 5.7", and am going with the iphone upgrade progeam program next month but would have to see the feature difference and price. I plan on getting the 6s plus and passing on the 7 until maybe the 7s.

I will probably consider it. But i think the Plus is already a bit too big for me. I love my 6 and will probably just get a SG 128GB iPhone 7. No plus, no pro, no prob :p

What does that have to do with the size difference though? The iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro are the same size. The iPad Pro isn't a Pro because it has a 0.2" larger screen.

Also, the Pro is the current gen iPad while the iPad Air 2 came out close to 2 years ago. It's the old model.

But nobody is arguing against having an iPhone Pro, just the point in having a display that is only 0.2" bigger. It's almost pointless.

I could see Apple releasing two 5.5" iPhones. One Plus and one Pro. But I think they'll add the extra fifth of an inch to more easily distinguish the two.

I read somewhere the pro will be 5.8 inch which removes the bezel whilst retaining the actual phone dimension...

You clearly have comprehension problems as you are arguing the same thing I stated. I never said anywhere there was a point to being 0.2" larger.

I stated in the post you quoted:

"If it happens I think it has far more to do with the pro name and more money than it does size difference. It could easily be the same size."

*CLEARLY* I said it's about the pro name and not the size. There's a macbook pro and air both in the same size, you don't like it then contact cook and get upset. Pro does not mean bigger, it could be the same size, 1/4", 1" or any size difference at all. I *NEVER* said it was a pro because it was larger and to insinuate I did is blatently false. Try actually reading and understanding the sentence above this paragraph before making false comments.

Bye, dishonesty in posts makes them not worth reading.

The "Pro" devices are not called "Pro" because of their size ... and IF it was the reasoning, the .2" bump is marginal, at best... What's the point to creating a whole new assembly line process for a fifth of an inch? It's pointless. Make it 1/2" bigger or don't bother. Can you imagine the nightmare for the retail stored and accessory (read "case") makers?

I call BS and say there is NO WAY Apple creates a new model that has a .2" larger screen.

I highly doubt Apple will make a plus/pro split.

Also I've heard the shift from 16/64/128 at $649/$749/$849 (or $749/$849/$949 with the plus model) will change to a 32/128/256 config like you said... But with new pricing. It will be $649/$799/$949 or $749/$899/$1049 for the plus model... To be honest this makes absolute sense and I wouldn't be surprised AT ALL if they did that, matches up perfectly with the iPad Pro pricing and Apple isn't giving away an extra 64GB for free like giving another 32GB/64GB for free last time...

The person you quoted only pointed out how useless an extra 0.2" would be. They didn't say anything about "Pro" features, so if anyone has a comprehension problem, it's you.

My god, what is it with you people. You left out the part where I clearly stated that. Are schools in the us truly that bad?

You quoted my post except for the part above and it says what you did. Jeezus.

Welcome to the adios club.

Yep! iPhone Plus is too big for a phone. I have an iPad if I want bigger ;)

These posts are hilarious. The 6s plus is closer in size to the se than to the ipad mini, not even close to the ipad. Stop trying to justify tiny hands by comparing the phone to an ipad, it's hard to believe someone can make a comment like this with a straight face.

It's like saying I do not need a tiny se because I have an ipod shuffle.

Obviously most do not agree with you anyway since the 6's broke records. Just accept that some have tiny hands and not everyone likes the same size. I will not ever go below 5.5, accept that people like different sizes and move on.

I didn't say the Plus was close to an iPad, I just said that since I already have a large screen iPad, I don't need my iPhone to be 5.5 inches. I'd rather have my iPhone be more comfortable to hold.

Me too, a 4" phone is far too tiny to be a phone. Very uncomfortable to hold with my big hands. I would rather my phone be more comfortable, even at 6".

Your comment makes no sense since the iphone is not even close to the size of the ipad. You don't need something small at 5.5" because you have a 10" device? I don't need a 4" phone because I have a wrist watch. That's my point, no way does a 10 inch device take the place of a 5.5" phone, if it does then it could take the place of a 4" phone.

You are calling the ipad a replacement for a 5.5" phone and if you can't comfortably hold a 5.5" phone how can you hold a 10" ipad. I would think you would need a crane or something.

If the ipad is considered a replacement then you MUST be doing the same things except making calls.

Welcome to the adios club.

Apparently reading comprehension is a major issue for you. I quoted you EXACTLY. I left nothing out of your original post. Now, if you feel the need to ignore me (assuming that's what the "adios club" crack was alluding to), I'm glad to be a part of it.

It may be difficult for you, but try to have a nice day.

The iPad is not a replacement for the iPhone, I never said that. If anything the Plus would be a replacement for the iPad for some people, but not for me. I like to have both iPhone and iPad. I'd rather have a comfortable iPhone which for me is 4.7", and a bigger screened iPad that is immersive but not too huge, which for me is 9.7".

I could comfortably hold the 5.5" iPhone, but with two hands, not with one. The iPhone, for me, is quite frequently used with one hand, since it is a portable device. However, the iPad is used with two hands because it is a substantially larger device. I want my iPhone to be a very portable device that I can use with one hand. That is why I prefer the 4.7" and not the 5.5"

If your iPod Shuffle can do everything the SE can, then you're a lucky guy...

Another person without comprehension skills and they just keep coming, this forum is worse than any other. I used that as a sarcastic example because of someone using an ipad in place of an iphone 6s plus. If the ipad can do everything the iphone can, such as functioning as a phone, then you and they are really lucky guys. Both are bad comparisons, do you not get that?

I guess you didn't understand the "It's like saying" part that you clearly quoted.

Adios, I don't care discussing things with people that follow simple conversation.
