Other 5.8" X/XS/11 Pro users - what will you do moving forward?

if the rumors are true we're getting a 5.4" , two 6.1" , and a 6.7" and no more 5.8" models -- what will you do?

Current XS owner from Day 1. I'm inclined to go to 6.1 inches, but it might be the "regular" iPhone 12 instead of the 12 Pro this time - as long as I get 5G and keep the OLED (even at lower resolution than the Pro), I'm good, and the cost savings compared to the Pro would be nice. (Plus with OLED instead of LCD, I'm guessing the bezel will be narrower than it currently is on the 6.1-inch 11 and XR.)

If the 6.1” pro model has a touch ID. I might go with that.

Currently have 11 pro max and it would be cheaper to trade it to the smaller 6.1”

Love the pro max screen size though. But but, 6.1” could be the perfect fit.

Just curious, where did you even read/hear that it might include touch ID for you to believe that regarding the 6.1 variant? The only phone that probably would include touch ID aside from the 4.7 SE2, would be the 5.5 SE Plus purportedly to launch in 2021. Apple will keep anything above a certain price point to include Face ID, simply because it’s their ‘latest technology’ that they want the consumer to gravitate towards, Especially since the older/previous models have included Face ID.

Apple will keep anything above a certain price point to include Face ID, simply because it’s their ‘latest technology’ that they want the consumer to gravitate towards, Especially since the older/previous models have included Face ID.

There are a few videos on YouTube from some of popular reviewers suggesting an under screen TouchID could be present on the 6.7” Pro model. I saw them a couple of days ago but it could be purely speculation. It could be a test for future generations .

But didn’t that member mention the 6.1 model? Even if Apple was going to implement touch ID under the display, they wouldn’t put that on the 6.1 model, they would want that in the most expensive/latest iPhone, Just to draw more attention/marketing. There was no mention of the 6.1” model in the vids I watched, no. Like you say I think they’ll test it on the device with the largest internal space and see how well it works before rolling it out next year to the smaller devices.

The poster you quoted was talking about the 6.1” Pro model so really it should be identical in spec seeing as they are priced so close. I’d be a bit miffed if for £99 more the Max was getting better features but this is Apple.

Yup like the real-deal-82 said. Rumour has it that 6.7” might have touch ID.

Im just hoping that 6.1” pro would also have it, but unlikely.
If touch ID happens, most likely it would be 6.7” special feature.

I actually have the 11 Pro Max. I’m looking to downsize to the 5.8 actually. Had it in March on the VZ 14 day trial and ended up with with the Max, I wanted the bigger screen at the time.

Recently drove my XR for about a week and was like man I love this size, 6.1 but I wanted just a little bit smaller.

5.8 will be perfect. All the same stats as the Pro Max, plus they will be extinct after awhile. So I’m downsizing to the 11 Pro 5.8

5.4 is too small but it will look cool to see an all screen 5.4 screen which should’ve been the "SE2"
