and the entry level iPad will be sticking to LCD for a long time. I wouldn’t be surprised if it got anti reflective coating ( not laminated display) before OLED.
I still occasionally use a 2017 iPad Pro. It has ProMotion! It doesn't feel like it has ProMotion because sadly, the A10X processor is holding it back. The screen is still great. It had a good run going on 10 years and will work just fine as a hand-down to some kids who aren't aware of the differences between LCD and OLED.
If you put it on low power mode though promotion gets disabled
