Hmmm that is pretty concerning. None of my jeans have that. I use skinny jeans so they have that little coin pocket. Maybe you should purchase one of those transparent skins.
That pocket is actually for pocket watches. Jussayin. A bit of history for ya. ;-)
[doublepost=1475040386][/doublepost]Apple needs to drop a polished white. That would be really nice.

I agree that the small pocket is a holdover from the days when pocket watches were popular. They do make good change pockets though. They are only on the right side so those who carry their phones in the left pocket would not have an issue with it.

The way I got a jet black was how a lot of people got them, I called apple, they made me fill out a form, they got back to me with a date by when I would receive it BUT I got a black phone b/c I I thought that the smudges + scratches + abrasions on the jet black would drive me crazy.

I thought about it and I said "F it, i can't be worried about that." Then I thought about the added grip that the JB had and it just made more sense for me to return the MB b/c like I said, I have small hands and I don't mind the trade off for added grip. Luckily I had the MB for three days and there were no issues in returning it.

Still waiting for those pictures...

Ok hold on. Have to open up a photobucket account apparently. Every time I try to add pics here I get an error message to the effect of: "file too large for server"

6 days in no case. Doing normal human activities. Yes, right before I took those pics I had just finished wiping the back with a microfiber cloth. No, I don't wipe it all of the time, just when i clean my glasses.

I'll be checking in on these reports in five months and that will allow me to decide whether I go this route in the next phone (assuming that's even an option). I just don't feel like a few days is enough to judge long term. I don't use a screen cover either. After five days of use no hairline scratches. One year into it I have some scratches (if I look for them). I imagine, at the very least, my experience with this phone would be the same.

For the other aluminumi think that if you have big hands the aluminum-back iPhones aren't slippery. I have small hands, so the large width of the phone, plus the slipperyness of of the aluminum, for me makes the MB, Gold, Silver, and Rose Gold uncomfortable.

Thank you Richard for this feedback.
I hesitated during pre-order. But if the slippery aluminium wasn't big deal with my 6S, it's a completely different story with a 7 Plus. The size make it more difficult to hold, so the slippery aspect became a problem. After a week using it, I am looking for a Jet Black instead (which might be difficult to get within the 14 days window in which I can return my Black Matte)

I agree. With the smaller versions of these iPhones the slippery aluminum isn't a problem, as that phone is deal for all hands big or small. The slipperyness becomes a huge problem for the Plus models, as you said. Hopefully, you can find a jet black, you won't regret it.

I'd scratch the phone up in a second...I always wipe the fingerprints off the screen with my shirt, pants, sweater, etc. I'd probably do the same with the back if I saw fingerprints on it. Carrying around a microfiber cloth would be ridiculous. Even if I put it in a clear case (which would be the only option if I were to use a case...since I'd wanna actually see the phone) if I saw fingerprints, I'd wanna clean em off. Not the phone for the OCD person like me lol. Has anyone cleaned the phone like so, repeatedly, and it was fine?

My Levi's have a button thing at the opening of the pocket, that's what I'm scared of!

its called a rivet

Rivets
In 1871, Latvian immigrant Jacob Davis pioneered rivets while working as a tailor in Reno, Nev. Davis had originally used rivets on horse blankets, and he found they worked well for re-enforcing the stress point in men’s work trousers—particularly the corners of the back pockets and the crotch, which often tore apart when exposed to heavy duty wear and tear.

Since Davis did not have the money required to patent the technique of using rivets, he reached out to Levi Strauss to see if he was interested in applying with him. In 1873, the pair received a patent for “improvement in fastening pocket-openings.” This was the birth of what we now know as the blue jean. Today, rivets continue to strengthen and reinforce the most vulnerable parts of our jeans.

It’s worth noting that Levi Strauss & Co. was the first company to make riveted pants, creating a new category of workwear.

Thank you.

I knew it had a name, but could think of it and I couldn't face the embarrassment of trying to search for a "button thing"

I had gotten tired of waiting for my JB and found a Matte Black in stock at my local store and reserved it. Apple was unable to cancel my pre-order as it was 'preparing' for shipment for 7+ days. I purchased the Matte Black and the JB arrived yesterday. I was not even remotely tempted to keep it and sent it back the same day.

The fingerprints would bother me. As for the Matte Black, it most certainly IS slippery as hell. It seems more slippery that the Space Gray that it replaced. Not sure why. Still happy with it though.

Left front pocket is where my 7+ goes.

I'm waiting til next year. Jet Black will be so much better and it will feel "new" cause I didn't have the color this year.

Better? By going back to the failed experiment that was glass? Sorry, a step backwards will NOT be better.

The iPhone 4 was the best design IMO. Just my opinion :) For the record, a report does say they are using different glass this time...but rumors are exactly that...rumors. Although the iPhone 7 rumors were mostly spot-on. We shall see!

I've been upgrading every year since 3GS. I just wish they'd actually make something out of liquid metal. THAT would be something!
