I meant the sidebar icons on the left side of the Finder window, not the actual icons on the desktop (see example image below). I don't think they would be an easy thing to change unfortunately.
Any way to get the finder icons back down to snow leopard size (they look larger for some reason)
Also, this is kinda big for me, any way to rearrange the order in the finder sidebar so that devices are on the top?
Thanks!
How do you burn a Lion DVD once you've installed Lion? The installer deletes itself when you install the OS.
Why would I pay $30 to make it look and act like it used to??
Just redownload it from the app store. It will let you DL again free if you already purchased. Just option-click on selection in the app store.
With the new gesture to open Spaces, I cannot swipe to go back when I am in Finder. Anyone know if there's a setting I can change or a differen swipe I can perform to achieve this?
Thanks in advance!

I miss the ability to click and hold on an app in the dock and see all open windows for that app. I know I can use the three-finger down motion on the trackpad to do the same thing, and maybe I will get used to it, but I don't always have the trackpad available, and I still try to click and hold even when I do. Is there any way to make Lion do this one thing?
#5 Need a Lion Install DVD?: A DVD copy of Lion is handy for those who dont want to re-download a nearly 4GB file everytime you need to install Lion or need to use it as a bootup disk to diagnose a problem with a computer, or even use it when you replace your hard drive.
Thanks for this post, because I had the same question as baryon.
When I go into the App Store and locate the Lion page, in notes that Lion is installed. When I try the suggested option click on the 'installed' button, nothing happens.
Any clue why?

I'm sorry.. my fault I was not clear. Start the app store and option-click "purchases" and you should see Lion now with an option to "install."
Hello Weaselboy,
That was a great help, but I also need to do 'option-click' on the install button otherwise I got a message that a newer version was already installed and had to be moved.
So with option-click the install started, but (install not concluded yet) no file with the name 'Install Mac OS X Lion.app'. Searching for (in)visible files that were last modified on my Mac today didn't result in any file that was in any way related to a lion download, despite the fact that the launchpad showed an icon indicating lion was downloading.
Is it just a matter to wait until the download has completed and not restarting, but first looking for the file putting it on a CD / USB and removing the entire download?
Thx for any suggestions.
GJL
To make a DVD of Lion simply find your Install Mac OS X Lion.app
-Steve
Your tips are great but I can't seem to find any app named "install Mac OS X lion.app" anywhere on my computer. When I downloaded Lion it locked near the end then gave an error message. It then proceeded to install itself.
I am concerned that my installation is not completed but the App Store will not let me download again. Steve: Am I missing something?
When the install starts, you just quit that and you'll find the program "Install MAC OS X Lion" in your Application folder
Thank you so much for the tips. I just installed Lion over Snow Leopard about an hour and a half ago, and during the first 10 minutes I didn't like it as much, and hated that they got rid of the status bar at the bottom of the window, but your thread helped me out with that, and with classic mail view, and the scroll bars. Now, if there was a way to get back the aqua scroll bars, Lion will be even better.
I am downloading again now (thanks to Weaselboy.) Do I understand you right that I need to start the installation after the download then stop it after it starts. Seems a little scarey!! If the installation is incomplete does the OS revert to the prior state?

Exactly. I have an even simpler solution than these 5 tips. I have just 1 tip.
1) Don't upgrade to Lion.
Thank you again so much.
