3GS I was wowed as it was my 1st iPhone. Got the four wowed again at the changes. 4s I skipped n tried Htc one XL. Great quality but i didn't like android jellybean etc. now onto the 5 and I'm very satisfied I won't be leaving apple iPhone again I use a big griffin case so it's more comfortable for me and I still use the phone one handed. Rock on iPhones

I give my 5 a 8/10. Battery life is good but not great as most smartphones these days aren't going to get you more than a days worth of battery life on average use. My previous phone was a galaxy s2 and I love my 5 more even though I loved the ability to flash custom roms on my s2.

My biggest complaint.. Really my only complaint is the battery life. I'm been using iphone since gen 1. Not looking to change, but the battery life is horrible on my iphone 5. Three/four hours tops in use. My other iPhones were not this bad.

I don't want to seem ignorant but how is the jump from iphone 4s to iphone 5 not a big jump. You have almost the same improvements the 3gs to 4 had. New design, better screen, bigger battery life, more ram etc.

I guess im not in the norm when I think the iphone 5 is already a "monster of awesomeness."

What can the 5 do that the 4s can't?
LTE is great, but not a killer feature for a lot of people.the a6 is negligible in real life use. There isn't a single extra feature/capability that the 5 can do that the 4s can't.
On the other hand, The 3GS - 4 jump got retina display so you can read the news when you're half awake squinting right after the alarm clock rang. it made for a substantially better experience. the taller screen of the 5 on the other hand, isnt. The 4 introduced a substantially better camera that can actually function as a point and shoot. It got HDR that isn't available on the 3GS. It got facetime that the 3GS didn't have. And it got a premium metal casing vs. plastic.
I vote the earlier jump is a much bigger jump
