I guess my ipad 2 will get more miles, Apple with these BS updates. And I was hoping for something major. I'm sick of this obsession with thinness. I need more functionality.

iPad $500 for iPad and I still can't watch a movie while writing an email

Why would you try and watch a film while writing an email?
So you never watched a YouTube video while doing something else on your computer? Highly doubt it
Can't say I ever have.
I could understand Safari and maybe a text document, but videos really require one's full attention.
I often plug my Mac Mini into my HDTV and then run my 24" Samsung monitor at the same time. This allows me to watch a movie on my TV and then use the computer and surf the net at the same time.
I have never wanted to do this on my Mini though with it's small screen.
I would totally netflix while playing Angry Birds or some other simple game if I could
I think this feature will be added. But remember, why do you need to, or even want to watch an movie whilst writing an email. The display size would be tiny.
Besides the video, multitasking on an ipad should be a giving now. My note 2 has more functionality then an iPad Air 2,WTF
They are not selling them for me. I think the new Mini is a worthless upgrade and will be keeping my current retina 128GB LTE Mini.
I think it's a small use case. I just think that split-screen needs to be done well, for it to be done at all. Really, all apps need to be able to support it before it comes to being available.
All you Apple loyalist. iPad doesn't do multitasking . However you do yours, it fails at it. If I want to juggle oranges while playing the piano, I would like to have that choice. Good god.

Why would you want a camera on an iPad, that'd be crazy...
Why would you want a front facing camera on an iPhone/iPad? So people can look up your nose?...

If you want to multi task, by the proper device that allows for that. Ipad never was a device to be able to write an email while watching a movie... Same goes for iOS actually.
Sure is something I've never wanted to do. But what the heck, there's always going to be a tiny minority of the tens of millions of people who buy iPads that want this sort of thing!

Macrumors is such a silly place. The fact that we on the 8th major version of IOS and it still can't multiwindow, especially given the larger screens of the ipad and new iphones, is mind boggling. Then again cut and paste took years as well, so it goes with the ecosystem I suppose.
