No, this is Radeon proximity temp. I have Apple store version, he has the one from web. The fact that CPU is 25 deg higher didn't ring a bell? The fin stacks temps, no, nothing? The fact that there is another, separate iGPU temp which is over 20C higher on Vega also doesn't mean anything. That every bloody sensor shows 20+ difference?
I simply don't know what is happening. Do you know why it is performing this way?

I will put the bar up. If Vega really is using more power, how the f*** in your mind, it runs cooler than Radeon Pro 560X? How the f*** in your mind Core i9 is able to run at higher clock speeds?

Everything is related to power delivery design. Suddenly, without any change at all, Core i9 is able to maintain higher clock speeds, and the GPU is running at lower temps.

It magically f***** happened according to Thysanoptera. And no, the bigger cover of heatsink would not change anything. Because the heat still has to be moved out of the GPU. And the heatsink itself is not changed. If it would use more power, overall than Radeon Pro 560X - the GPU heat generated, by higher thermal output of the GPU would not obstruct performance of the GPU itself, but also the CPU.

Then why everybody is saying it is running cooler? Magic?

Why does the GPU consume up to 50W of power? Why does the computer perform better, and work better, DESPITE the higher GPU power consumption? Higher power draw does not affect cooling performance?

I ask YOU to answer those questions. How come, GPU consumes more power, according to sensors, and despite this fact, computer is running better, and cooler, without any changes to cooling system?

Get any of the Vegas if possible. Personally, if the slower vGPU proves a better than marginal improvement in thermal management I'd get it, as neither provides earth-shattering performance and I'd mostly be interested in their feature-set anyway.
