Since a few people were asking questions about the applesac case for the new macbook I figured I'd make a post. I also bought an incase sleeve ($34.95) when i bought my macbook so i will compare it to that. I ordered the original style from applesac.com ($29.99) on Friday and received it today. A few people were worried about it shedding and leaving peices on there macbook. When you get it, it does have alot of little peices of fabric on the insde i guess from when they make them. To solve that i just used some packing tape and picked up all the pieces.
When i received it-

After using some tape to clean up the extra fabric-

What i like about the applesac over the incase is it has a pocket on the outside to hold either your charger, some cds or whatever else you can fit in it.
Heres mine with my macbook in the case and charger in the pocket-

Since the incase sleeve is made for the old style macbook it leaves space for the macbook to move around inside but the applesac is made for the new macbook and holds it nice and tight inside.

I can almost fit my applesac with my macbook in the incase sleeve. Also another advantage i think the applesac has over the incase is that people dont associate burlap bag with laptops so its less likley to get stolen. I think the incase would provide alittle more protection over the applesac if dropped though but overall i am very pleased with my applesac and i would choose it over an incase sleeve because its more functional just by having the pocket on the outside for your charger.
Heres them side by side-

wooooow i like the look of that applesac :D its looks funky :)

It's gonna cost $57 to get it delivered to the UK :(

i like my incase.

I was hoping someone would chime in on the Incase. I can't imagine Apple selling something that's not up to snuff. :)

haha the apple sac looks dreadful,i can make that on the sewing machine.

That's not very nice. A lot of designers recreate what can be made at home but add their own unique touch, I'm sure you can appreciate that.

great post..

i ordered the black applesac one.. and am waiting for delivery.. even though the tracking said "delivered"..

all in all came to about £35 incl shipping.. so not a bad deal..

I'm sorry but that potato sac looking Applesac is hideous. I wouldn't put my beautiful Macbook inside anything like that. :(

I hope Incase makes a custom sleeve for the new Macbook soon. If you a Macbook in that sack somebody may throw it out thinking it's garbage!:)

I have an applesac, this one to be exact: http://www.applesac.com/b_w_side_900.jpg

You don't HAVE to get the brown one..there are more stylish versions (no offense to those who like brown...but I like patterns :p)

and I think they blow incase neo-whatever's out of the water! I get compliments on how cool mine looks all of the time! :D

That might be nice for girls but I don't think us guys will like that girly one very much. :D
