In Maryland, inside of buildings coverage is pretty average: ~15-30 Mbps up/down

Att iPhone Pro in 5g Dallas:

225 down
58.8 up

297 down
39.5 up

I also experienced some slower speeds in the 50 down range. Very location dependent. Havent found a 5g+ location yet.

Are you/those in Dallas or one of the suburbs? I’m in Frisco and trying to decide whether to switch from TMo or Verizon or AT&T or just upgrade to the 12 Pro and stay with TMo.

AT&T 5G mmwave in downtown Miami, FL. Peak speeds 2GB/s achieved but with direct unobstructed line of sight to the mmwave tower.

This is T-Mobile low-band in Cartersville, GA (an hourish outside of Atlanta). In line of sight of the tower, admittedly, but I’ve never seen better than 160 on LTE in the same area. So I’m pretty impressed!

At my house I would say I get about 20% better than LTE avg. Hoping we get mid-band soon!

In Kansas City, MO sitting directly under an Ultra Wide 5G antenna. Pretty impressive. Using an iPhone 12 Pro on Verizon.

Went down the street to get breakfast, noticed a full 5G signal(only LTE at my apartment) so I took a quick speed test. Fastest download speed I’ve ever pulled on mobile. Previous best was around 120 on LTE.

So far only found low band 5G here in Palm Beach county but seeing this quite often on T-Mobile.

Haha, still using iPhone 11 Pro Max until I get the 12. AT&T website shows only LTE available in this area.
Phoenix.

Not using any of my ipbone 12s yet but this is 5g+ in downtown Raleigh NC. I'll be testing out t-mobile on m 12 and AT&T on my 12/Pro..I'll also be testing my Verizon service on the mini when I order that. May not to be necessary to test Tmobile on my pro Max.......May get it on AT&T LOL

Suburbs north of Chicago, at my desk in the corner of the house, plaster walls, two windows nearby. Brick exterior. Sprint is provider, Speedtest said connected to T-Mobile for both:

4g lte 121/10.4
5g 126/13.8

Fast.com got 2.0 MPS 5g. 2.1 on 4g LTE

No 5G in my area, who needs it anyway when you got speeds like this. 😂
None in my town either but a little ways down the road they have it. This is what I got:

Then I tested on my home LTE:

Right now, 5G isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Has anyone seen less than 3 bars of 5G? It seems that lower than that my phone switches back to LTE.
My carrier is TELUS

5G and LTE are not like LTE and 3G. Whereas LTE and 3G couldn't coexist (that is you can't have both on the same spectrum), 5G and LTE can be on the same spectrum, and so Verizon isn't exactly using "a portion of" it's spectrum. The two live together.

While they do "live" together, DSS will free up spectrum for whichever technology needs it most (in a nutshell).
