If the insider rumblings are true then Space Gray is the main color available for launch at a ratio of 4:1. You might wanna prepare for some disappointment if you're going for the white iPhone 5s variations.

Think I'm going to go with the silver. I've always had black and would like a change. I don't mind the gold but think I'd have a better chance reselling the silver. Still the black is nice...! Am going to decide for sure Thursday once all the unboxings from Oz start coming on YouTube.

I've only ever had 2 iPhones (3GS & 4S), and they've both been black.
I'm leaning toward white/silver this time around; but if last time was any indication, I first pre-ordered a white, then cancelled it to pre-order black!
But I think this time I *might* just make it to white/silver!
I don't like that the black/"Space Gray" is pretty much all black/gray and isn't accented with chrome antenna bars around the perimeter like the 4S was. You can't barely even make out the ID ring around the home button on the black/gray one. I didn't like the black 5 as much when it was released. I'll need to see the 5S black/gray in person.
EDIT: Saw the "Space Gray" in the store today and it was very sexy! I like how the hue of the bars & back are offset from the rest of the black, unlike last year's iPhone 5 black. If I can't find a silver, I may buckle and take the Space Gray.

So you think it will be better for resale next year? I was thinking silver but I want to be able to sell it and if that's the least favourite maybe I should rethink my choice.
I didn't want to, but I had no choice. This will be my last iPhone for a while. And these phones are expensive as hell.
Looks like Apple is pretty smart in supply chain prediction - there are news about having more Space Grey iPhone 5S-es than other variations which Apple produced.

If i were you and I had a rather tight budget but still wanted a new iPhone, I would really try my best to refrain myself from the 5S and get the 6 next year instead

I really need a new phone because the one I have doesn't work on the carrier I want. I set out to buy an unlocked phone 9 months ago, but was duped. Now I have no other choice.
I'm getting the S and skipping the 6 and 6s and getting the 7.
Looks pretty sweet in that video, Touch ID ring is somewhat visible depending on light conditions... May not be enough for some.

I think I'm going to go with the gold champenge color with an apple leather 5s case on it most likely. I think the gold color is going to be the color to have IMO. I had the black iPhone 4, white 4S and black 5 so gonna try the white gold as something different and "new."
If this is true, I'm very surprised that they are doing this. They seem to be featuring the white (now called silver) in the iOS 7 promos, and they are making a big deal about offering the gold, so I just assumed that there would be a lot of white and gold available.
Is it true that Apple isn't releasing the iPhone 5S in Gold during launch? When I walked in to my local AT&T, they told me that they got a notice from Apple today saying Gold won't be in stock until a month later....

I'll probably get Space Grey, I had iOS7 for the last couple of months running on a black 5 and I didn't like it until I changed the wallpaper to the 4/4S grey bubbles and I liked it, to me iOS7 looks better around a white bezel.
Jeez I don't know on Friday I'll either walk out with White Silver or Space Grey and 2 weeks later I'll probably exchange it for the opposite color.
I think the sexiest looking iPhone in 2013 is the White 5c.
