Phones aren't perfect!

SO yeah, who the hell cares about that? I don't think i ever used the silent mode on my phone, maybe once or twice...

Plenty of people do. So you never put your phone on silence? Not during meetings, in the movie theaters, at school, etc.,.?

With the combination of Apple's reputation and the cost of phones now, it better be perfect. No one wants to hear anything moving around in their phone's I'm sorry.

The other night when my room mate brought home his new space gray 5S, I noticed right away his vibration sounded odd, and almost made the phone sound like it was rattling.

I think it just sounded so odd because it's much different than my 4S.

Glad I seen this thread. Thought I had an issue.

Mine is quite loud when sitting on my desk in work. Gonna try it in a leather case to see if it dampens the loudness of it while in work.

I had the leather case and it was actually louder. I landed on a belkin TPU case which dampens it a bit. My coworkers are HATING me right now -- but who cares! ;)

Was it the Apple case you had?

I'm looking at getting a wallet style leather case.

Sorry, forgot to subscribe to this thread. Yes, it was the Apple Leather Case.

If you find a wallet-style case that you like, please let me know! Been looking for a good one for a while, for weekends. The slimmer the style of jeans get, the less space I have for my wallet!

What was strange was I bought an iPhone 5 around October last year and made a nice buzz noise when it vibrated. We bought a T-Mobile iPhone 5 for my wife in April and holy crap what a difference. Having her phone would drive me nuts. Might as well just leave the mute switch off.

Hoping they didn't change something mid-production on the 5 which has carried over to the 5s.

I've noticed a rattling when it vibrates, like the buttons are shaking. I'm sure it's normal but I've never experienced that with my 5.
