Skipping this year, waiting for 5G to actually appear where I live, also I never buy a revison 1 of a new design. Bet it bends like the ipads if you do something dumb like bend it as JerryBreaksAppleThings does on YouTube.
like the iPad lines. I actually wouldn’t be surprised if they did that this year - “iPhone”, ”iPhone Max”, “iPhone Pro”, “iPhone Pro Max” (12th generation.)
You buy products simply based solely on whether the name is significantly different than an earlier version you bought?

Not fine for those of us who own iPads with USB-C

Thanks for letting us know, Mr. Cook, and welcome to the forum.
How certain is it that the phone will be the 12 rather than iPhone 11S?.
Apple having skipped the 8S, 9, 9S etc. is a huge blunder, IMO. Eventually the numbers scheme will get so large that it will seem ridiculous.
All these rumored updates sound more like an S year than anything else.
Because all signs point to a new design. In Apple terms new design = new number. S models are the same design with upgraded internals. If switching to from an all aluminum build with the 7 to an an aluminum and glass build with the 8 counts as a new number, this definitely counts. How certain is it that the phone will be the 12 rather than iPhone 11S?.

I'm with you. I won't see significant deployment of 5G in my area until well into 2021, and the 2nd gen 5G modem will probably be much better anyway (more reliable and/or more efficient). I'm usually an S cycle person anyway (I consider my iPhone 11 to basically an S cycle of the iPhone XR).Skipping this year, waiting for 5G to actually appear where I live, also I never buy a revison 1 of a new design. Forgot to add smaller notch and bigger batteries which will be needed for 5G and pro motion
And yes pro motion is my number 1 want
Because majority rules.Ugh. Why can’t I have the top spec phone in a ‘not massive’ size?!
I think the rumor mill pointed out that the pro motion feature will be delayed to next year. I can't find the article at the moment, but I am pretty certain it has been axed this year.
Oh ok.Nah nothing of the sort has been said. All the articles are saying it’s likely coming. Not seen one saying it’s been cancelled.
Jon Prosser said it may ship with it but be hidden in software but that might not be confirmed too the last sec
