I have the 11pm now and ordering the the 12pro next week . the battery hit will be notice smh but i got big hands should be ok

I went back and forth an unfathomable amount of times to figure out which one I’d keep between the Max and 6.1” Pro. Single hand usage and battery life are my top considerations. Unfortunately, they do not go hand in hand lol Max has great battery life—especially compared to the Pro, but the Pro feels great in hand.

6.1” Pro won for me in the end. I’m willing to sacrifice some mAh for a phone that feels comfortable. Plus, I can switch over to my 11” iPad if I desire more screen. However, I do think a 6.2-6.3” phone would be the Goldilocks for me with the current design. Pro Max was never too big per se, but it was a chunker.

Aside from the fact that I'm torn on waiting for the iPhone 13 or just getting the 12 I'm also torn on going the usual Max size or going pro only. the 11 max has been making me want to go smaller next time around. I think my best bet is to go into a store and hold both sizes in my hands.

I'll say for me, I made the mistake of exchanging from the 12 to the PM and it's just too big. I'm even trying to find the "thinnest" case to make it feel less bulky. Great phone, but should of went with the Pro. Seems I'm stuck with it unless I pay 50% to upgrade.

I have had every +/max iPhone, except the 11 max. Instead of 11 PM I went from XS max to a HUAWEI 20 X with a 7.2” display.
The 7+ inch was perfect for me, but I missed the Apple echo system (having iPad, AppleTV, MacBook Pro, and most of my family and friends using iPhones).
So when apple made the 12 PM I thought the 6.7” would be almost as joyful as a 7.2” display.. it wasn’t.. I really like the advantage of screen real estate, with the flat design, but the design made it also feel really heavy (even though the weight was almost the same), and the screen size wasn’t sufficient for my liking, specially since the iOS and apps aren’t benefiting the screen size.

So I tried a regular iPhone 8, to see if I could get used to the small size. Really loved the weight, and I could literally not feel it in the pocket, being so small and light. The screen size did however got me headache from reading mails etc., and I ended up feeling it was a struggle to look something up on it.

Ended up with a regular 12, since it was the lightest iPhone I could find, without screen getting to way small for my liking. So far, I find that it is a really good compromise for me, the screen size is more sufficient than I first thought, and I really feel that the most of the iOS and apps are optimized (right now) for a screen size at 5.8 and 6.1. I have been using my iPad a little more, than before, but with the 6.1” I don’t feel like necessary to get the iPad (unless watch a video).

Though IF Apple made a 7” iPhone I would by it in a heartbeat though, no matter weight;)

I feel the exact same way about the size of the 12 Pro Max. I would love it if Apple increase the size of this year’s phone. That would definitely get me to upgrade.

6.1 is not too small, it is too big. I don’t get the reason to move up from 5.8” for the 12, absolutely nothing was gained.

12 Mini owners, best we stay out this conversation !

Mini is definitely the pick of the range in the 12 gen. 6.1 12 brings absolutely nothing over it, 12 Pro is too heavy and big for the smaller Pro model, and Max is just a joke given the size and weight.

If they kept the 12 Pro at 5.8" with squared off design it would have been a winner. As it stands, 12 Mini is the best of the range as you sacrifice absolutely nothing in terms of screen content for a huge advantage in size and weight.

Your absolutely right BigDO, especially about the 5.8 form factor on the Pro. I love my compact phones like you. The 13 mini is an absolute gem. The important thing here is choice though, many people prefer to sacrifice smaller size and low weight for the biggest screen size and battery possible, so they can consume content to their hearts desires and there is nothing wrong with that. I just hope Apple continue to give everyone the size they want.

All personal preference. Some just want a big screen for media consumption and every bit helps for them. Others prefer other factors in a mobile phone. Looks like the majority are absolutely interested in big screens these days.

I got my 12 pro max stolen last weekend. Ended up getting the 12 pro and it was too damn Small. After picking up the 12 pro max again I forgot how damn large it really is. In regards to the width, I personally love it. Wish android phones would start making wider phones

screensize is a gimmick, its aspect ratio that matters. for example the older iphones (8/7/6) even though the normal phone is 4.7 inch they dont look too small and the plus sizes 5.5 inch was perfect its because of that aspect ratio which is 16:9.
But the newer models (x/11/12) the aspect ratio is 18:9 something so even though the screensize is more it wont cover more content there. Thats y even the older plus model screens covers more screen space eveb though its 5.5 compared to the 6.1" model phones now

I do and i dont want a bigger sized phone- coming from a 6.1 12. I’ve come to appreciate the size after loving small phones like the SE 1. However, if the rumored iphone 13+ or 14+ non pro models are released with a 6.7+ screen and lighter aluminum body i might jump on it. I had the XS Max and hated the weight.

Yes, basically the size of iPhone 6/6s/7/8/se2 but with full screen
I tend to agree, that size would provide ample screen space while keeping weight in check. The challenge then becomes how far should they go with camera specs and pricing. I tried the 12 mini and it was a touch too small for my eyes, so along with the camera compromises I decided to swap for a 12 pro. Would’ve gladly taken something in the middle with pro camera specs to start with.

I have had the XS Max, 11 Pro Max and now 12 Pro. I am never going back to a Max. It’s a mini tablet and not a phone. 12 Pro Max being even bigger then the 11 Pro Max. Good grief! It’s even comical looking how ridiculous people look holding that tablet to their ear.

After using my 12.9 iPad Pro and then using the my 12 Pro, the Pro Max doesn't seem too big, lol.
