Adium for MSN is down?

Both my Macbook and iMac and my friend's Macbook cannot connect to Adium for MSN right now.

What about you guys?

Windows Live login service changes its protocols once in a while and Adium stumbles till the team updates it. Turn on beta updates in your preferences, and wait it out. Its not the first time.
 
It's not just Adium; I can't connect using Pidgin or Palringo either. It's been fine all weekend and just started causing problems for me about 20 minutes ago.
 
Adium unable to retrieve MSN address book.

I use Adium in order to have windows live messenger work on my mac. However, I am unable to sign on neither to my primary or secondary account and neither will the website meebo accept this (strangely, however, ebuddy seems to accept them). Is this some account of Adium having faulty settings on my preferences or is it problems with MSN servers not accepting third-party requests? Help is greatly appreciated :).
 
My MSN account has been messed up on my iPod with Palringo, BeejiveIM, and PingerPhone.
Strangely it still works when I use the app Fring on my iPod and when I use the actual MSN program on my computer.

Well here's another person experiencing this issue is this thread of mine that I created before I saw this one.

Damn you Microsoft!
 
I closed Adium by mistake, started it again, and it can't connect. The strange thing is, I was connected when I closed it and even talked to people all day long.

I wish all those IM protocols would go away and everyone would just use a single standard. :rolleyes:
 
its a temporary system error, adium uses a newer protocol it appears, should be fixed soon.

since today i've been having the same problem as you.
i thought of reintalling but it was not useful

any suggestions?
 
I'm also having the same problemm...

woke up today, turned on my macbook to log on and see when my friends are going in to college, turns out adium won't connect D:

so i naturally restarted, tried again, still wouldn't work..'reinstalled'...still wouldn;t work..

my windows XP partition allows me to log onto msn via windows live messenger fine, and also microsoft messenger for mac also works..

hope adium gets 'fixed' because i love the customisations i've done to mine lol.:apple:
 
I've been getting the same adium error message on my MBP. It prolly started about 8-10hrs ago.
I tried re-adding my account and clearing the adium cache. No luck. Hope the systems back up soon.
 
Also suffering connection problems here. Strangely people using other clients can still see you and start a conversation with you...
