I can still remember paying $399 plus unsubsidized tax for the ORIGINAL iPhone 8GB in 2007, so we've come along way since then...

Sold it online for $475 and picked up the iPhone 3G...

You ONLY paid $399? I paid the full price of $599  One of my nieces has had a thick "iPod touch" ever since I got my iPhone 3G. Now my wife, who is using my iPhone 3G, can't wait until Friday to get my iPhone 4 :D I'm not sure what we're going to do with the iPhone 3G. She's dropped it a couple of times and now we have a couple of really nice horizontal lines going across the screen

I the new Nexus phone doesn't impress me, I will be getting a 64GB 4S.

I had to get the 64 GB. I like carrying my entire music collection with me, and I've been juggling a phone and an iPod touch for almost 2 years now. Already sold the 64 GB iPod touch, selling the EVO as soon as I can get service activated on the iPhone.

Also, I'm very excited about all of this! I've wanted an iPhone since the day I found out they existed in February 2007, and after a nearly 5 year wait all I have to do is wait 6 more days and check my mail?!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_5 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8L1 Safari/6533.18.5)

I've been dying for a 128 for 2 years now...

I got the 64gig partially for music and pdf documents, the other factor was the new camera and 1080p video.

I'm pretty much filling up my 16GB now, and that's with taking pretty much no pictures (on the crappy, low-res 3G camera) and certainly no 1080p video. There's also no iCloud yet.

So, rather than having just a spare 16GB, I think a spare 48GB will give me plenty of breathing room, especially since I'll probably go on an app-download spree with the new phone, using up more space.

I have a 2.04 terabyte large iTunes library. The iPhone or iPad won't be large enough for quite a while.

64gb on the iPhone and 128gb on the iPad is the minimum I want.

2 terabytes of music are you kidding me?? I've got 200 GBs and thought it was a lot! I bet iTunes looks you up when it needs a song WOW.

Not sure if iTunes looks to for him or not but the RIAA probably will ;)
