I currently have a 32MB 3GS. I don't have any issues with space on it. But I would if I had the 16MB model.

I went with the 64MB 4S because I figure the higher resolution photos and videos will fill it up faster. Plus I also plan on using the screen mirroring to watch stuff on HDTVs on occasion so I would like the extra room to load up higher quality videos.

Sounds like a collector's edition...

It's all about choices and costs.

The 16GB model will suit the needs of the vast majority of users. Why? People only need 1-4GB of music at any one time for their workout or trip.

Pics become irrelevant for storage for most because of the cloud. Same for videos being shot. 5GB of storage space is plenty enough for 80-90% of people.

To me the real reason to get 64GB is because of apps. You can stream apps. You need it built in. So if you play a lot of games 32Gb is bare minimal and 64gb is a good option if you keep 15-20 games on your phone at a time.

I actually downgraded my wife 32Gb iphone 4 to a 16gb iPhone 4s model because she doesn't keep much music and uses very few apps. She does mainly photos of our 15 month old and the occasional videos which we load up on YouTube to share. But she doesn't use more than 6-8gb so 16gb (14gb usable) is more than enough.

For others it may be about future growth.

I tried to talk myself out of it. But in the end I got the 64GB.

I very much doubt I will need all that space. But I like knowing it's there. And it ups the resell value a bit.

Seeing as how I've had to pull back a lot of my content off my 32GB i4 to have 1GB of free space.....yeah, I ordered the 64.

Its all about audiobooks and apps for me. Note sure if we are going to get iCloud syncing of Audible content or not, and i really buy a lot of apps....too many apps :)

My problem with this is that it requires you to spend time reloading playlists. I don't always know what I will feel like listening to in advance so I like to have everything there.

I debated getting 64. Have 32 iPhone 4 and I take a ton of pics and it's only half full. Music, I have a decent sized collection, but probably only a gig or two at best.

I had to remember that my purchased music, apps, books, and TV shows, as well as my Photo Stream, don’t count against the iCloud cap. Not that I've bought any new music since I signed up for Spotify, anyway.

Therefore I could not figure out ANY way I would even begin to go past 32GB. So I stuck with 32GB.

I went 64GB. Storage is one of the main reasons I've waited so long to upgrade. I'm glad I can finally retire my original 8GB iPhone. I have a 60GB music collection that I went through last night and found about 40GB that I'll sync to the phone.

I stuck with 32GB as well -- I'm starting to have buyer's remorse. I'm thinking about immediately taking it into the Apple store to get it changed out when it comes on Friday.

Previously had a 32GB Black but ordered a 64GB white. Why? Simples. I'd rather have too much space than not enough. It's more future proof and with 1080p video and 8MP photos the extra space will be welcomed.

Besides I see it all as relative... In the UK you're paying £500 for a 16GB iPhone, if you're going to pay that much you may as well pay an extra £200 and get 4x the storage capacity while you're at it! ;)

I preordered a 64gb. I currently have a 32gb iPhone 4, and that's been plenty of space for me because I really never use my iPhone like an iPod. I don't keep tons of music, movies, or photos on it.

But please explain why people are sweating the extra $100 for double the storage capacity? Over the life of a 2-year contract which, in the end, will cost you several thousand dollars, what's difference does $100 make?

I prefer to have the space and not need it than need the space and not have it.

I always buy the one with the largest memory or else I rue the purchase for a while. Also, it wouldn't be an Apple product launch if I didn't overdraw my account.
(That last part was just a joke. However, I won't be eating for a while.)

I have more than 60GB of content in my itunes library, but I'm not ever going to need it on my phone - especially at once. 16GB will do (even though I'm going with 32GB)

I have a ridiculous amount of music, so 64gb seemed the best way to go for me.

I have a 2.04 terabyte large iTunes library. The iPhone or iPad won't be large enough for quite a while.

64gb on the iPhone and 128gb on the iPad is the minimum I want.

I got one because I like to carry around movies with me JUST IN CASE I ever want to watch them and never want to worry about space. Also, I like carrying around all my music with me all the time. My only regret is I didn't get apple care+ (because screw paying $500 for a phone and $50 every time I want to replace it...)

If I were eligible for an upgrade, a 64GB iPhone 4S it would be.

It would be awesome to finally be able to carry my entire music collection around, yet still have enough space for taking lots of photos and video.

And to all of you "just use the cloud!!" people... Fast 3G data isn't always available. If I want to hear a song I want to just play it, not have to wait for it to download.

2 terabytes of music are you kidding me?? I've got 200 GBs and thought it was a lot! I bet iTunes looks you up when it needs a song WOW.
