Talked with fedex today
they told my shipment will be delivered only on Monday
was shipped on 3.11.09
17" 320GB 7200 4G

Others whose deliveries were scheduled by FedEx for Monday have sometimes had them Deliver on Friday. Personally, I'll hope for it tomorrow, but won't be too disappointed if I have to wait until Monday. That will free up more time to work on my corporate taxes this weekend.:D
 
FedEx tracking has mine in Anchorage still, but I'm not sure the "real-time" tracking is always real-time. FX90, the Fedex Flight from Shanghai to Memphis with a layover in Anchorage, has taken off again and is en route to Memphis. Will be interesting to see what tracking says later this evening.

Update: Mine has package left departed Anchorage as of 5:12pm. As the flight to Memphis (most of them stay on same plane in Anchorage and continue on to Memphis) left on time at around 3pm, and is halfway to Memphis now, I assume it is about 2.5 hours away from Memphis.

:eek: I should have finished reading all the posts before I posted. Mine left Anchorage with yours :)
 
The flight I believe our MBP's are on landed in Memphis about 20 minutes ago (11:30 Central Time). I suspect it might take awhile to unload before FedEx put some scanners on the packages and sends them off to regional hubs. I expect tracking will update sometime overnight, while I'm snug in my bed.
 
I woke up to this:

Why did I pay the extra 18.00??????:confused:
 
Ordered on Jan 11th (61 days ago!!!) through reseller and still not sure when I am going to receive my new MBP. Waiting that long is almost unbearable.

OK here we go, just got an e-mail from Apple:

Due to an unexpected delay, we now anticipate shipping the following
item(s) as follows:


Z0G5, MBP 17/CTO
Ships by 4 business days
Delivers by Mar 20 - Mar 24

So that's pushing it back by one week if not more, and that's only if it does actually ship then and I don't get a similar e-mail again.
 
My order has said shipped for the past 3 days, on the American site it says shipped via: Kuhne & Nagel Spedition s.a r - but on the European it says nothing just 'Shipped'. Also there is no tracking data at all, is this normal?
 
Just a quick note for those who ordered from a reseller (CA):

4gb stock Glossy w/ 7200rpm Ordered from my local reseller (I’m 6hrs away from the closest Apple store) on 23/01/09.

Finally got an update this morning: Left Shanghai on the 6/03/09 and arrived in Montreal this morning and it's on a UPS Truck for delivery Monday the 16th. Arg it's going to be a long weekend. :p

So Apple has fit some reseller orders in its delivery queue.
 
Mine was delivered at 10:15 this morning, the bad thing is today is so busy I won't be able to open it until this evening.

I have waited 2 years for my first mac, hope I can last another 9 hours! ;)

It's 9:52 where I live, and FedEx Tracking has mine on the truck for delivery. I expect it will arrive pretty soon.

Hopefully you won't have to wait much longer!

I hope Apple gets everyone's MBP's to them soon!

Work is slow today, I guess I'll spend the day at MacRumors thinking of my MBP waiting for me at home........
 
Delivered at about 10:10, and after a warmup period (it arrived pretty cold), I have gone through setup and am now installing software updates.
 
Just a question - why bother ordering through a reseller in the first place? :rolleyes:

I'm sure there must be a valid reason, I just can't think of one lol
