I don't know if this is working for anyone else yet, but I was able to receive an MMS.

Did you have to contact ATT to have it enabled since by default, iPhone plans don't have WAP Push enabled.

Looks cool! When you tap on the message... does it open in full screen?

It depends on your AT&T plan you have already, most are on iPhone Text plans, which wont get your any MMS but instead the links to "view this on the web". It's not easy to get it off and onto a regular one, but I've done it using a different phone. Your mileage may vary.

I should have taken a screenshot when the preview came up. Basically it was a normal text preview with the image appearing before the text.

As for the battery percentage, I don't know how I have that and others don't quite strange.

I did not call AT&T or change any settings. You should note, however that I sent the message to test it last night around 10pm and didn't receive it until 6:40.

Yes, you have to tap the arrow to the right of the image and it shows it full screen and gives you the option to save it in your camera roll.

His phone is jailbroken. Me thinks he's lying.

Yup. The 100% only comes from a JB device. However, it may have been JB and then he added 3.0, which may not have fully wiped the features he had while it was JB. It's a long shot, but it could happen.

That is probably the explanation. I was jailbroken on 2.2.1, restored to 3.0, then did a restore data from backup. Maybe something during that process is what did it.

wise up people...notice the obvious lack of the little camera icon that should be to the left of the text box?

I bet he was using the battery percent plist hack and when that plist file got transfered to his 3.0 setup, the setting remained... it looks like they changed the way that setting looks. Perhaps they're going to add it as an option!

Same happened to me when I went from my jailbroken 2.2.1 to 3.0. Thought it was neat.

And why doesnt his MMS app have a camera icon in the lower left?

I'm on 3.0 and the camera icon got removed on mine when i updated the carrier settings to enable tethering, perhaps the same happened here?

Nice catch!

Not cool cridiron...not cool...

The reason my camera button disappeared was because I was trying to do the tethering hack. In doing so, and by changing the carrier settings, the camera button disappeared. I undid the hack, and now my button has been restored. I've taken more screenshots with the button restored and in landscape mode for all you doubters:
