And why doesnt his MMS app have a camera icon in the lower left?

I'm on 3.0 and I also don't have the camera icon, and never had. It has to do with the carrier settings I think.

Well I just sent myself a picture message from a Verizon phone, haven't gotten an MMS or the text stating it's online yet. I'm assuming many of you have done the same, but I'll keep ya posted. It's weird you received one and can't send one though!

LOL! I was trying to figure out what picture it was until I saw it blown up. I can't wait to get MMS on my phone.

dumb question, but does picture messaging require data plan? i have my data blocked and they say i have to unblock data to get picture messagin working, is it true? ive never played with MMS before. They also blocked my media and i told them to unblock that and they say it wont help get MMS

Receiving works, however sending is broken, I also have a problem with the facebook app as it is not displaying any pictures? Any one have this issue?

Everyone has that issue *sigh* It is tough being an iPhone 3.0 Facebook addict.

Odd

What is odd is that A&TT blockes at two stages of the process, one is at the switch. The do this via IMEI... Curious to see how this is being done.

BTW AT&T is working to update

im testing to see if someone can send me a picture message..if i receive it..ill say hes legit..currently im on AT&T..but i have a media net plan instead of the iphone data plan..this could work out to help me receive MMS

It depends on your AT&T plan you have already, most are on iPhone Text plans, which wont get your any MMS but instead the links to "view this on the web". It's not easy to get it off and onto a regular one, but I've done it using a different phone. Your mileage may vary.
I didn't sign up for any "iPhone texting" plan the day I got my iPhone. I was already on unlimited family texting. I should recieve MMS fine once 3.0 is out right? (that is not having to change anything with my plan, or contact at&t at all right?)

Don't burn this guy yet. It's possible.
I called o2 tonight. They removed the block and activated it.

I can receive MMS.
What I can't do is SEND an MMS.

Talk to @Domness and @RobPickering on Twitter.
They should back me (@razorianfly) up too.

-- I'm not about to break the NDA and publicly post a screenshot though.

This is what I think the sending indicator should look like. It should just pop up when it's sending. What do you think?

I did this because I still like to see who I'm texting at the top... when you send a message in 3.0, I'm assuming the person's name disappears.

I like it!:D

I'm not too fond of the new progress bar in Messages either. The message automatically shoots up into the conversation, long before sending has completed. It's also kind of choppy. Plus they took the sounds out when the bubble goes up. That was one of my favorite UI sounds.

I agree. the effect was nice

this phone is jailbroken.... end of discussion... although it does look pretty sweet maybe when my warranty is up but by then im assuming apple will finally step up to the plate

Lookin' good.

Its not a surprise to see people jumping on whoever posts anything like that...we've all seen great photos and spy shots that never came true.
