Hehe... that was a bit of, er, exaggeration, on my part. I meant that Apple used to stick really good graphics cards in their computers-- and now, we don't get anything.
Sorry for the confusion there. But why not give the G5 a card that has, say, 128MB of VRAM and is more powerful? That would be fine as standard-- many pro's DO use their card to drive two displays. 128MB of VRAM would to better for two displays than 64MB of VRAM split over two.
 
In the PM does it utilize a better GPU then RAM more

eg. 1GB RAM, GFX 5200

or

512MB RAM, X800XT

What would be the fastest
 
depends on what you do with your mac, i'd get the gpu as ram is cheaper to upgrade as you dont replace it you add to it

When will the X800XT be avaible from the apple store :confused:
