Wow, I guess my 6S is defective. The vibration on mine is LOUD. Very loud buzzing. Came on here expecting to see reports of loud taptic feedback and turns out it's the opposite for most.

I dont like the new vibration. I have missed text/calls while its in my pocket because I cant feel it when im walking. On my 6 I had no problem. But like others said I have no choice but to adjust.

I love the new vibration, it's able to produce touch like feelings when holding and not bother other people in meetings.

I'm looking forward to some games that will utilize the rumble.

Correct me if I am wrong but also the vibrate pattern has changed too? I mean in older iPhones vibration was constant and now it vibrates, pauses, vibrates etc.Can i set it back to vibrate always without pausing during vibration ?

I have an issue people my vibration is low on my iPhone 6s Plus.when I get a Facebook messenger notification my vibration is low but I can feel it.But when I put it on a hard surface and get a call it vibrate that I can hear it.its low when I'm using the phone is that normal
When I use app switcher the vibrate is low but I can feel it is that also normal

I'm adding a quick note to this (old-ish) thread becaaaaaause:

I am profoundly hard of hearing and rely on the vibration differently than it seems like the rest of you do. I have high-frequency hearing loss and cannot hear a normal ringtone (this includes a wake-up alarm) and have relied on the physical vibration which is within my hearing range to alert me to....everything, really.

But I just upgraded from my beat up iPhone5 to the 7. The 7 must have the same Taptic engine as the iPhone 6s that you all are discussing here, because I have missed so many calls/texts (....all of them) because of the reduced vibration. I understand that this is a refinement, and that's good, but I wish there were an option to increase the intensity of the vibration for those who want the louder/more violent vibration. Like I said, as a nearly-deaf individual, that strong vibration was within my hearing range. Now it's gone. I slept through my alarm this morning because the vibration on my bedside table did not wake me up, and I barely made it to work on time. And yes, I know there are accessibility options like vibrating pillow alarms or fitness watches with a silent alarm available to me (if I'm willing to spend). But I would much prefer to have all those features bundled together, like before.

tldr; The strong vibration was important for me as a deaf person, and I wish I had the option to increase the *intensity* of the Taptic alerts as well as the rhythm.
