To update this thread. This stopped happening to me when I got a new 6S Plus. So I'm not positive if it was hardware or software but it could have been hardware related.

This has happens to me twice tonight and had to do a restart to get it back working. I pull up the control center and it freezes a bit and shows the flashlight icon as on but it's not on. I turn it off and it stays off. Turn it back on and nothing. Also just noticed none of the other icons in control center work either like clock calculator etc. it eventually just crashed to the home screen and lots of things happened all at once like it was going through everything including clicked.

I am not sure I could even show this to apple because it seems to only happen when I'm not trying to make it happen. I use the flashlight at night a lot is how I noticed this. I sure hope this isn't any indication of what's to come.

Anyone else have this happen?

6s plus T-Mobile version 64gb
iOS 9.01
Set up as new

Me! But I never had this problem until I got the 6s Plus. But this happens to me at least a few times a month. I shut it down and restart it, which fixes it...until it happens again. It's frustrating for sure!

I had the same issue on my iPhone SE. Restarting the normal way didn't fix it. But for now, after restarting by force shutting (holding both sleep/wake and home buttons) the issue has disappeared. I've kept my flashlight on since the past hour and have kept switching it on and off in between, and voila, no freezes!

This exact same problem is happening to me - and so just got my phone two days ago. Is this a software issue? Should I try to bring it to Apple? I'm slightly relieved to have found somebody in the boat, but still don't know what to do!

On a similar note:
As YouTube videos are playing, if I click the Pause button it switches to the triangular play button (as if the video had stopped playing and were ready for me to press play again) but the video keeps rolling! If I click the play/pause button repeatedly- it just ignores me and keeps playing. I was very excited to get this phone but I'm disappointed now.... Please let me know if you have found a solution to your problem!
