The only thing faster (and by a tiny bit) is phone unlock. Apps open in exactly the same time.
Opening folders is faster. Also, if you previously opened an app and then go back to it it's almost instantaneous, which is at least a bit faster than with animations on.

it seems like on my 5S there are no more animations for closing the apps ?

it just dissolves out on pressing the home button.. same with everyone,.. or just a bug ?

Its the new reduce motion setting, you probably have it on. Turn it off for older animations.

I really don't like how they've lumped together the folder animations with the parallax feature in 7.0.3

After the novelty kinda wore off with parallax, I activated Reduce Motion now I will have to take it off again, mildly frustrating.

Who has an issue with the parallax?.. serious question. I don't even notice it unless I'm looking for it. Many people I have talked to have iOS 7 and didn't even know about it.

I don't have an issue with parallax presay, but I do have a problem with the heavy handed way that it auto-zooms the background and the vignette. I just want my pictures how I see them.

Correct! The auto-zoom makes regular wallpapers look fuzzy. I see no reason to need the zoom. Once again, why did we need to alter the setting and not just create a new one to turn off the animations? Apple could have chose to please everyone, but, instead did what they are so good at and only please a certain category of people. The animations was on IOS 6 also, just faster. I cant imagine they were making people sick. If its that easy, maybe people need to be seeing their doctor. I cant see how they could drive a car, or watch tv, or walk around in the world. Hope they turn the option back on is IOS 7.1.
