I'm still jb on 7.0.6. So you guys are saying I can still update to 7.1.2 by downloading it & then by using that Chinese program pangu or whatever I Jb again?

Do I lose everything? Reinstall all my tweaks, etc? Last, is 7.1.2 that much better then 7.0.6?

Yes, at the moment, you can still restore to 7.1.2

if you don't want to redo everything, then you can make a backup and restore to that backup afterwards

you will have to reinstall all your tweaks again; make sure they have been updated to support 7.1.2

7.1.2 offers better speed, stability, and other improvements

its really not worth the upgrade. 7.0.6 has the security patch included so its not any more secure. just a few graphics changes that in my opinion suck.

Turns out it's still being signed

I think it has to do will the bloated size and allot of problems updating via ota if you don't have the room on the device. Whatever the reasons, its good, a few more extra days for folks to change their minds and not lose the JB, I mean why would you want to, you can ALWAYS upgrade later

you guys who have restored to iOS 7.1.2 are lucky. like already mentioned, in dfu mode itunes insists on downloading iOS 8. I dunno how you were able to circumvent that?

download the ipsw and then shift click the restore button. Easy.

7.1.2, 8.0 and 8.0.2 are all being signed.

Is it possible to downgrade to 7.1.2 from 8.0.2? It was giving me so many issues that I had to restore to factory settings and start over with 8.0.2. Maybe the 7.1.2 file I downloaded this morning wasn't a good one..

As long as they are still signing 7.1.2 then yes you can. We can't tell you where to download 7.1.2 here but there are plenty of places to get it,

Looks like it's too late..

Finally bit the bullet...

Just restored my iPhone 5 from 6.1 to 7.1.2 with firmware downloaded from one of the links above.

Preparing to Jailbreak.

Yep it closed.

Restored my iP5 this morning to 7.1.2 for a clean sale.

Now the wait starts for a JB for my iP6

Now the real wait begins for those that went ios 8, no turning back the clock now. Maybe in the future the tool will be released

i did the upgrade last night, evasion 7.0.6 to pangu 7.1.2

it's much more responsive & less laggy. i'm glad i did it

did it the hard way though, rather start fresh

Well I did it on one of my iPhones this morning and it all went like a charm, but tonight when I was going to do my other iPhone, it wouldn't because it said I could do 8.0.2. Now I have one iPhone on 7.0.4 and the other on 7.1.2. That was a bummer! Why do they have to close the window so fast?
