pending charges on cc?
I'm in the same boat as many of you. My computer showed the gates to apple.com opened at 2:02am CT and I received confirmation at 2:06am. Being half asleep and wanting to double check I hadn't done something silly, I rushed through but took a sec to look over everything to confirm. When I started the process, said 1-3 days, when finished said 7-10. Oh well, I'll be patient.
My main question is this...does anyone's CC show a pending charge? Mine does not and that is just so unusual for any order that I wonder if I need to check on it. I understand it won't be charged until it ships, however don't they need to run it to make sure the funds are there? Just curious if I'm the only one. Thanks!

My cc shows a pending charge. Just be patient bro, I'm sure it will be fine. You could always ring your bank.

I also called the Apple customer care and they upgraded my shipping to expedited (and didn't charge the $10 fee). No clue if that means I will really get it faster or not. I also downloaded the Deliveries app, and my "phone" also says it's in Ohio (or at least, the order is).
It's going to be a long week!!!

I just called Apple and had my shipping changed from Standard to 2-3 business days (she said that is the best the system will allow). Which equated to a whole day. Woohoo! Now I'm Oct. 7th-10th. But it looks like they didn't charge me for the change in shipping, so I'll happily take it.
My broken microphone on the ip4 (need to use the bluetooth headset as a work around) is starting to wear on my nerves.

I am amazed at how many people got the 1-3 quote when adding to cart but then changed to 7-10 days when submitting the order. I thought it may only be a few people but it looks like a lot, makes me think the chances of it moving up are not very high then. Fingers still crossed!
I did call and ask if I could get free 2 day shipping as others have said they have done, the rep said yes without any hesitation. So one extra day sooner..
AT&T Premier. I ordered at 12:02 AM, received the 7-10 shipping estimate, and then cancelled at 9 AM when I received the 20-25 day estimate. I spoke with Premier and reordered at 11:30 AM and it shipped this morning for delivery tomorrow. Crazy.
I am in the same boat with you. I ordered mine at 00:09am and it did the same switch a-roo on me. So I guess we all will just wait for the 2nd week of October to arrive. But we might get lucky and they ship early.
I ordered the gold 64gig AT&T from Apple Store online at 2:02am CDT, and it said available to ship 1-3 days. But I realized that I forgot to include AppleCare, so I went back to add it and when I got to the checkout, it said 7-10 days. Delivery October 8-11. Timestamp on the confirmation email was 2:07am.

Did you order from the Apple Store, or your carrier? Which model did you order?mine just showed up today!!
Apple care can be purchased at anytime while the phone is still under warranty.
