Not Apple care+. Due to the damage insurance there is no way to prevent people from getting AppleCare+ after they damage the phone so they can use the damage benefit. I think the window is one week after purchase.

I dollar withdrawal then deposit on CC for both cards soon after the order. I understand I ordered later than most that have received shipping confirmation, but it's frustrating that Verizon could be off by so much with the original ship date.

I think Apple Care + is an American thing.
AppleCare+ must be purchased within 30 days of the date you bought your new iPhone. If you did not purchase AppleCare+ with your iPhone, you may purchase it at an Apple Retail Store or by calling the AppleCare Contact Center.
In Australia you have up to 1 year to buy it, but not sure what the differences are between the + and what we have.

Interesting... I ask because I was one of the first to order and my Barclaycard has yet to be charged, there's nothing showing in 'pending transactions' on my Barclaycard online account either...
I order on the app using express checkout.
I just checked my bank balance and before they had a 109.00$ pending charge on my debit. Seems as though they credited it back to my account. Maybe it's almost preparing to be shipped?

I'm in the US and had the same concern...no pending on my credit card which is very unusual. I realize they will not charge it until it ships, however typically a pending charge would show up and I have nothing. I called apple c/s yesterday and was told they did an authorization of $1 to confirm it was an active account...she could see it on my account but it did not show up on my cc account summary online. She also said a pending will show up when it gets ready for shipping, which I'm still in processing status. Just FYI.
Hope so mate. Apple estimate 7-10 business days, but I wonder if they will begin to ship earlier.
From what I gather apple is being conservative with their estimates. A lot of the 1-3 dayers are getting theirs a day or two before apples estimates so I'm hoping the same for is 7-10ers.
Apparently I'm the only person in the October 10-16 delivery group (Canada), even though I ordered (64GB Space Grey) literally less than a minute after it went live. Actually a little aggravating and I have no idea why how there are people all over this thread, let alone elsewhere, who ordered after and still have significantly sooner delivery times.
What did your confirmation email give as the shipping / delivery date? Like I said in my post above, I find it hard to believe that they (Apple, the carriers) were so far off in their shipping estimates. Big numbers, but simple math, no? Unless they didn't know how many of each model they would have to ship when they went live...
Called and upgraded to expedited to get the 8-11 delivery group (apparently I was the only one who hadn't, thus the confusion). My confirmation email said Oct 7-10th.
its nice that apple allowed for a expedited shipping upgrade but still on processing im hoping before 27th it gets shipped.

You've come to the wrong thread, unfortunately.
There was a shipped in 1-3 days thread, followed by 7-10 days, and finally the group you're in which is some time in October.
If I'm not mistaken but doesn't apple care have to be purchased within the first 30days?
I ordered mine before the clock rolled over to 12:01 PDT. Which should have meant 1-3 day shipping, but because I'm in Canada and Apple apparently doesn't like Canada anymore, I got 7-10 day.
Just called to upgrade from standard shipping to expedited and the rep said that all phones are being sent out via priority shipping. He did knock a day off the estimate.. but it seems like it would've been sent out just as fast regardless of my call.

BUT...just called Verizon and they said that they are still showing that they will ship today. She is going to try to text me tracking information before she leaves work at 2:15 eastern. Will post an update when I get it. CC has not been charged.
