7-10 business days (October 7 - 11 Delivery) group

Has anybody actually gotten around to doing the math on Apples processing and shipping?

Phone was ordered on Friday September 20th with 7-10 business day processing. Because I’m a nice guy I won’t actually count Friday as a business day and we'll say Monday the 23rd is the first business day so Tuesday the 1st of October is the 7th business day. With 2-3 day shipping that means the phone should arrive October 4th-8th (Which would coincide with what somebody posted earlier), correct.

Apple has me down for delivery for October 7th-10th. Please somebody correct me if I made a mistake but I believe Apples math is wrong.

I like the notification light, but my power button keeps getting pushed while it's in my pocket so it's always turning off.

That, and the browsing experience is very 1990ish :/
 
I've enjoyed this years launch more than years past. It's a no stress, no waiting period for me. I got a very good iPhone 5 and decided for the first year ever, not to upgrade for so little improvement.

I'm not being critical, I do realize some find it very stressful to type a password in, but I don't. I'm very used to passwords and like the freedom of changing them on a regular basis. I take security seriously even though privacy is a myth.

So this year it's smooth sailing for me. Next year I'll be buying iPhone six. I'm sure Apple will have created a phone with more improvements than this year. It's time. :)

Now, back to your regularly scheduled thread.

No word from VZW for me. Purchased launch day later in the morning, still holding at 10/7 ship but getting weary of seeing all the people walking in and picking up at Apple Stores, BB, Target, etc...

I think your math is correct. Something definitely doesn't quite add up. That's why earlier I was saying that they are counting on some slower delivery :) I still think that they will ship earlier and they will beat the estimate. I am also eager to get the phone and I'm checking the order status every once in a while, but on the other hand I can still wait for it as currently I am quite busy and probably wouldn't fully enjoy the phone if I got it right now.

There is a 3 day Chines holiday in the beginning of October. So I think that's where the discrepancy lies.

Working for a financial institution I can tell you that pending transactions or authorizations on your card generally only last for approximately 3 business days and then fall off. The company still holds the authorization to debit you, however, the $1 being credited back to your account isn't an indication that your card is about to be charged.
 
No but if they do charge your card it might say something. Personally right now it's more about taking my goddamn money so I can not worry about how much I have in my account

i have been thinking the same thing. i am still stuck at processing items :/
 
I don't know what it means when the apple store app say I have no orders in the last 18 months BUT I'M TAKING IT AS A SIGN THAT SOMETHING IS HAPPENNING.

edit: it's back... nothing changed :(

I'm hoping it gets updated tomorrow.

Heading overseas on the 7th, if it doesn't ship by tomorrow I'll need to cancel and order when I get back.
