Hahaha I feel the same way! I was sure I was going to order the matte black for days before preorder started, then as soon as I could order my heart said, "Go for the Jet Black!" And here I am without a new shiny phone on launch day!!! lol but my 6+ is pretty much in perfect condition so it's just first world problems.
- has any other 10/4 been charged recently? Within the past couple hours?
I preordered 256 with BT Mobile in the U.K. And was due to dispatch on 15th but nothing, got an email saying they will send me an update with in 7 days to say when I should expect dispatch 
10/18-10/31 Preparing for shipment since yesterday. Confirmation email from Apple for original purchase was 3:25am. JB 128gb.
My wife's 7 JB with 10/4 - 10/10 date was just charged. Still processing though.

That's promising. I ordered the same thing at essentially the same time but no movement yet for mine.
you guys need to relax, your phone isn't the only one being processed there are thousands of phones that are all being prepared to ship when they are ready you will be notified go outside and take a walk or do something besides starring at your screens but you can't obsess over it, just a thought, that being said where the hell is my phone !!!
So apparently my card was charged when changed to PFS 50 hours ago. Just checked. I forgot to check my credit card.

What app do you use to edit the photo you inserted there? Is there a way to do that with a stock iPhone app? Just curious for future reference. Thanks.
9/26 checking in. Been at Preparing for Shipment since Thursday morning. Card charged, but no movement since then. No UPS tracking when tracking by reference. Tried my phone number, order number, order number without the last 2 numbers, order number WITH the last 2 numbers, order number with the W and order number without a W.
Confirmation email received at 12:04am from Apple.com.
