So odd thing. I have just been tracking my stuff through the tracking number on Apple's website. That doesn't give me any delivery info. Yet when I search by reference with my phone number the same tracking number comes up and says a delivery date of Tuesday. Odd that they aren't sharing the same information

Small glitch perhaps? I'd keep a tab open for both. Once you see movement on one, see if the other updates as well.

See people with tones like that are why I'm hesitant to post in here. I'm concerned because nothing on my CC has been charged. But no worries. I'll keep things to myself. Good luck to everyone.

I was in your boat but was charged this morning. Literally two minutes after the charge went through the status updated to shipped, so I wouldn't worry. My confirmation email was at 3:06 so I'm sure you'll see movement soon.

For people who just got Apple shipping notices and UPS is showing your phone sitting in China right now, when is your UPS estimated delivery date? Tuesday 9/20 or Wednesday 9/21? Mine is Wednesday and I'm in Phoenix.

UPS is also showing a 4 hour delivery window, which I haven't seen before. I had thought about paying for the 2 hour window, but hadn't yet. Usually UPS says 'by end of day'. Anyone else see that?

On the basic tracking page it shows "delivery by end of day". If you're a MyChoice member it usually gives a 4hr window to expect the driver to show up within. For me (cuz my guy comes at the same time every day) the window says 3:30-7:00 PM. I suppose you could pay to have that window shortened to 2hrs. Though they could still end up ignoring it and coming when they usually do.

Is there a dedicated thread for orders placed through AT&T? I couldn't find one, so I assume they are all in here. I was "preparing for Shipment" from the beginning, with an October 28 - Nov 4 ship date. No movement so far. Any other AT&T order users in here?
Most in here ordered directly from Apple Store. However, from what I understand AT&T's "preparing for shipment" is the same as Apple's "processing items." AT&T doesn't use the same order terminology as Apple.

Thanks, this is very helpful. That's interesting you're getting it a day earlier in Canada. I am a MyChoice member, but not a premium. So do you think the paying for the 2 hour window doesn't help? I was worried I was getting delayed until Wednesday just so I could be given the 4 hour window I see now.
 
Mine has NOT changed to shipped and I was in the 9/26 group. I'm contacting apple because I ordered it using Apple Pay on my phone and yesterday, I stupidly logged out of icloud and all my cards were deleted from Apple Pay. It DID get a pending charge in before that, but I'm contacting them just to be sure.

Update on this: Interesting, I did not know this. Apple will switch from Apple Pay to the real card number if you have a pending charge and it doesn't go through. So I guess I'll just sit here in PFS hell for a bit longer... :)
 
Ordered from Verizon on 9/9, said 10/5 then and still says it now. I was really hoping it would move up a few days by now.

I don't know how strictly the 2hr window is followed in the US. I've had a shipment with a "deliver before noon" requirement and the driver delivered it around 5pm. I guess he just did it outta habit?

So it's really up to you. Perhaps it's also a conservative estimate. Maybe if you phone can get to your local plant by Monday evening, it could be delivered Tuesday. You never know.

Not necessarily true. As long as my phone gets here before 27th (which in all likeliness it will), they've beaten their estimate. People in November might be getting theirs in the first or second week of October, if not earlier. As long as there isn't any stock of JB 7+ headed to stores, us preorder holders have the inside track. Just saying.:)
You didn't read my post carefully. We agree. It was an Epic fail on Apple's part to have promised availability ON 16th.. which they did in all printed materials and in the KeyNote.

Same here. Confirmation email @ 00:15 and still processing. Which carrier version did you order? It seems that only AT&T and Verizon phones are seeing movement. T-Mobile and Sprint are not as far as I know.

This is clearly a case of they didn't have WHAT I WANTED ON DAY ONE. If you're so convinced they deceived you, you are welcome to sue them. Let us know how that goes...

UPS Next Day Air Saver is an actual Next Day Air package. The difference is that Next Day Air needs to be delivered by 10:30 a.m. The Saver means by the end of day for residential and 3 p.m. for business. I have been working at UPS for 10 years. I do know all the ins and outs of shipping and the logistics of the company.

You are uninformed. Listen to the keynote.. And look at the picture of the JetBlack on their main web page since the KeyNote with the words Available 9/16. Please don't preach to me when you clearly haven't done your homework.

  • Used Apple Pay (if that matters)
  • Original delivery dates 9/26-10/4
  • Have not been charged, can't find anything on UPS, and phone not added to support profile.

Woke up this morning and I am finally seeing my phone is SHIPPED. Delivery in Los Angeles by end of day Wednesday.
