I have never had any luck in all the previous pre orders with the UPS track by reference. You just put in your phone number right ?

Mine still shows the same date of next week.. but my leather case will arrive by end of day today. So that's fun!

A couple of more people showing tracking by reference working in the big Apple thread. Maybe their will be activity today.

I also have an order originally scheduled for delivery from 9/26-10/4 but when I searched on UPS it shows a delivery date of 9/16. I ordered a Jet Black 256 7 Plus.

Same phone, original delivery 9/26 - 10/3. Showed up this morning in my UPS My Choice app - delivering Friday. Apple still shows Your order is being processed.

Ordered phone at 12:08 Friday am.

No change here. Jet Black 7 Plus 128GB. 05 Oct, 2016 - 11 Oct, 2016. Processing. Not able to track on UPS.

7+ JB 256. Ordered thru Apple Store app. Email confirm 12:13am pacific. Est delivery Oct 4-10.

Spoke to Apple customer support yesterday for 20 mins. Asked about expedited shipping. Said its already being shipped at fasted speed. I asked about chances of my estimated delivery date being bumped up. She said "there is a very good chance you'll get your phone earlier than your est delivery dates. I pressed her for specifics. She said most likely Sept 25-29. She said there should be movement on shipping/del dates the night of the 16th and or the day of the 17th (as people buy at physical stores and cancel existing orders).

is that confirmation that there will be phones in Apple Stores on the 16th? If so I'll gladly line up rather than wait until 4th-10th!
Based on the Apple rep's explanation to me, I'd say you can comfortably infer that there will be 7+ JB's available in store on launch day.

I am not so sure, they are giving the Apple Upgrade Program people their choice of phone out of walk in stock, and no one has been able to get a 7+ Jet Black on launch day.

So it sounds like some people with late September dates may be getting their jet black 7+'s on launch day. If that's the case than I highly doubt I'll be getting mine on launch day with a 10/4 - 10/10 window :(

The problem with Apple customer support is that no one actually knows what they're talking about. It's not like they send bulletins to all the CSR's saying "hey, if their date is 10/4 - 10/10, they'll probably get it 9/25 - 9/29." They're just guessing, just like the rest of us here.

It's probably just speculation. I doubt a random AppleCare rep has the knowledge or authority to comment on launch day in store stock levels :p
I agree. However, the Apple rep did confirm with me (bc I asked specifically) that in fact, there are some people who have launch day delivery dates on their 7+ JB orders. I told her I haven't heard of a single human in North America who has a launch day confirm for that model. She told me that she was at her desk as preorder went live and can confirm that there are people out there with 7+ JB launch day delivery confirms. I asked for their names and addresses....she drew the line there. I'm kidding on the last part, but this is exactly what she told me yesterday.
