7+ Jet Black (128/256) Date Change Thread

Interesting... I ordered 2 256 GB JB Plus on ATT Next for two different lines at 2:09 and 2:11 CST. I have gotten one charge and that one is preparing for shipment with Delivers 9/26 - 10/3. The other one is still in Processing but shows Delivers 9/23-9/30. I am sure both will ship today but just thought that was weird.
 
Official word from Apple now on all news outlet services that I've heard on my radio or seen on TV is that there is no jet black phones of any kind and no plus phones of any kind available in Store worldwide on launch day. So that would include the matte blacks some people were hoping would be hoping for. I know the context of our conversation was supply in third party stores and carrier stores. But I believe it's a pipe dream to believe that the carrier stores would have better supply than Apple stores. There are no Apple stores in the country that will be selling any plus phones of any color - and there's no way you're going to find them in third party stores. Apple simply wouldn't do that to themselves. People who want to wait for a phone tomorrow will only be able to find iPhone 7's in 4 colors… Super limited supplies of Matte black 7's as well.

So if you're a 7+ only lover there's no reason for you to wait in any line in any store anywhere in the US. Waste of time. Apple has spoken!

Apple didn't say they had no stock. They have no stock for walk ins. Odds are what they do have is reserved for the Apple Upgrade program. Apple's own statement says carrier stock may vary. They didn't say they would have none.

Pipe dream? No. Long shot? Yes.

So if I am understanding this correctly, we should all have our Pluses tomorrow. Right? ;)
 
ATT iPhone 7+ JB 256 3:10 confirmation was 9/27-10/3. Just changed to preparing to ship. I did not ask for expedited. New dates 9/23-9/30

Still no tracking number...perhaps all this excitement for a delivery next week. Oh well...didn't expect it before next Friday anyway.
 
Second ATT 256 JB 7 plus now charges and moved to preparing to shipped. Don't give up; they are still charging and changing statuses. Also, given that the second order shows different dates than the first (one changed to 9/23-9/30 and the other stayed at 9/26-10/03) I doubt these are close to being updated. Looking forward to a tracking number to see where the hell these things are.

Of course they have some for Walkins / just like some pre-orders will ship tonight.. (Not JB - they are vapor ware)... No JB available for launch of any kind. Keep reading news outlets.

I agree, I think a delivery tomorrow is a longshot. I'll gladly accept a nice package on my doorstep by next Monday or Tuesday though!

I should be seeing this later. I was in an "Awaiting Payment" status because they could not charge my Apple Pay card. (I had restored the phone I paid with since pre-order). After updating to my physical debit card, I now have a charge for the tax on my order. (Upgraded via AT&T Next)
 
Also, it's worth making a distinction between the 128GB folks and the 256GB folks.

Even if you order at the same time, but one orders 128GB and one 256GB, I imagine the 256GB will ship first due to lower demand. I expect the 128GB JB+ would be the most popular.

Also, due to differences between phones for carriers, there is probably another subgroup there too.

So:
128GB JB+: Att group, verizon group.
256GB JB+: Att group, verizon group.

I'd expect folks within the same sub-groups with the same times to ship closely together, but across groups, it's hard to say.
