It is large, and sometimes it is inconvenient, but the larger screen, better battery life make it worthwhile.

I used to think the Plus model was humongous, but I wanted better battery life after having my 6s dying or very low on me at the end of the day and decided to upgrade. I quickly got used to the size and can never see myself going back to a smaller phone now. The Plus model seems like the "normal" size to me now.

I will say that the Plus is easier/more convenient to hold up to your ear as a phone--at least the 6 Plus was. The extra size and weight of the 6S and 7 make this less so.

I had a 6S+ for about 8 months and thought it was fine in winter when I wore a jacket, however, as the weather improved the size became more and more inconvenient and it eventually got to the point that the extra size simply wasn't worth the hassle.

I ended up getting an SE and it's the best decision I ever made: I can still do everything on it I could on my 6S+ with the added benefit that it's easy to carry in my jeans, shorts, etc and is far more convenient than the bulky plus sized phones

Yea I agree as the winter starts to get going I can see that. Summer / spring might be an issue cause I won't be wearing jackets or coats. I can see the plus being bulky in cargo shorts.

I've always gone with the smaller iPhones, having written the pluses off being way to big to handle. I even thought the 6S suddenly felt too big when the SE launched, bought the SE and enjoyed its compact form factor until the 7 came out. When I saw the 7 keynote I was intrigued by the plus for the first time, but because of availability and the fact I was coming from an SE, 7 plus wasn't an option for me on 9/16. Since then I have been wondering how it would be to use the 7 plus and after waiting for a long time, having to return the first one because of this issue, I finally got my JB 128GB a week ago.

I have been using the plus for the most of the past week, only interrupted by a day with the regular 7. There weren't many changes coming from a 7, but I really like portrait mode, the bigger display and better battery. I can fit the phone OK in my pants, but I'm finding myself removing the phone almost every time I sit down. The size hasn't bothered me that much since I have been using it naked (just because of the JB's better grip), but today I have really been second guessing the plus. It's just so nice to be able to reach the entire display on the regular 7 without having to adjust my grip, and being able to have the phone in my pocket without noticing it. Then again, portrait mode, display size and the battery is what's keeping me back. Being completely honest though, I'll probably be back on the 7 before the weekend is over.

It was exactly this issue that brought things to a head for me: I was in Madrid over the summer and every time I sat down at a restaurant table, I would take my phone out of my pocket and put it on the table. This led to a lot of wild gesticulating from the servers and when I asked a Spanish friend why this was, they explained that there's an issue in Madrid of thieves grabbing phones from tables and running off with them (the servers were clearly trying to warn me not to leave my phone on the table, but my Spanish wasn't good enough to understand what they were saying!).

After that, I was a bit lost as to what to do when I sat down: I couldn't leave the phone in my pocket as it was too big and I couldn't put it on the table as it would probably disappear and I realised I would rather have a smaller phone that I could leave in my pocket
