Some co-workers of mine have come up with a fictional fight between Chewbacca and Worf. I was trying to get some feedback to see what the general concensis of this fight's outcome would be. I personally think Chewbacca would rip Worf to pieces.

Worf is the Klingon from Star Trek Next Generation.

Just to clarify, this would be hand to hand combat, no weapons.

Worf stood up pretty well to Jem Hadar in hand to hand combat, when he was held prisoner during a portion of the Dominion War (on Deep Space 9, for those who don't know). Considering that the Jem Hadar were genetically engineered specifically for combat, this says a lot. Wookies are great warriors and their size and strength would give them a slight advantage over Klingons. However, Worf has proved time and again of his prowess in combat against a variety of foes, often much stronger than him. Wookies have a weakness of being slower and more cumbersome, especially when compared to Klingons. Chewbacca, also, has never been shown as having too much proficiency in actual hand to hand combat (in any of the SW movies). I think it would be a great fight to witness. Both would put up a great challenge. However, in the end, I think Worf would ultimately come out on top.

That was pretty in-depth. My co-workers will get a kick out what you posted!

Off to the Cubs game, hopefully they can do something today!

Worf has superior technique and more agile (heck, a turtle stuck in quicksand moves faster than Chewbacca:rolleyes:). Chewbacca has the constitution and strength advantage. Chewy may be tougher than 50 cent steak, but Worf's can still do some serious damage, especially since Chewy won't be able to land a hit.

I'm going to go with Worf and the death by a thousand needles.:D

Um wait, will it be the movie Chewbacca or the Lego's Star Wars Chewbacca? The Lego's version would mop the floor with Worf, B'Elanna and Kahless all at the same time.

Chewbacca.

Paws down, this wouldn't last long. He was more than 200 years old and hung with Han Solo. So he'd know plenty of tricks and be willing to fight dirty. Worf might get a few shots in but he'd be down for the count quickly.

Let the Wookie win.

Chewbacca would tear poor little Worf's arms out of his sockets.

:D

Edit: Maybe we should add a poll as this is an important discussion.

Someone let me know that Chewbacca has 8" claws. I think that alone would be enough to put Worf away. The claws would be legal to use because it is a part of Chewbacca's body. I also think this fight would be worthy of using the Octagon like UFC. What kind of people do you think would show up? Would they be dressed up in Star Wars or Star Trek garb?

We should come up with some more "Fights" i.e. Snarf from Thundercats vs. Strawberry Shortcake.

Worf; no doubt about it, to my mind. He comes from a warrior culture - even Klingon opera venerates battle as do their gods, - and has integrated and further developed the values associated with being a warrior. TNG (and DSN) showed his creative capacity in battle, and he learned from experience as both series' progressed.

Cheers and good luck

Didn't Chewie wield a lightsaber in one of the comics or something? Remember, he was also friends with Yoda so he could just control the Force and rip of Worf's arms via long-distance.

WORF WORF WORF (Cos Michael Dorn is such a babe)

For me, it comes down to whether or not the Wookie can land the first blow. With his opponent enjoying a superior reach Worf will certainly have his work cut out, but if he can keep clear of those club like paws my money's on the son of Mogh.
