I got an email for one of mine that I bought through Apple saying they were going to credit my account 200. Hopefully they will get my other one done tomorrow too.

Well I have read in multiple places it is at 6... but never was clear whether pacific or eastern.

Ahh that's cool.
Just making sure... I just tried the *639# thing and its still saying that I won't be eligible till 8/30/09.

*shrugs*
Should be there in the morning.

*Anxiously awaits*
Just a quick reminder that it will be only for existing iPhone 3G customers that already have and "Upgrade Eligible" date of July, August or Sept. 2008. The updates are rolling now and should be complete by 5 AM EDT. :)

We're now pleased to offer our iPhone 3G customers who are upgrade eligible in July, August or September 2009 our best upgrade pricing, beginning Thursday, June 18.

You can wait until you're eligible for our best upgrade pricing. We invite you to check your upgrade eligibility by visiting www.att.com/iphone, calling *NEW# (*639#) on your AT&T device (we'll send you a text with upgrade information), or visiting any of our over 2,200 stores.

Mine is still showing $399/$499 options. I bought my 3G in July 11, 2008 and I pay $250 a month for service with no missed payments. I assume I will qualify for the $199/$299 pricing, correct?

One more time, what is your current "Upgrade Eligible" status on the line you want to upgrade? If it is not currently July, August or Sept. 2009 then you are not going to benefit from this update. Just log into OLAM and check your upgrade status.

It said that I could get it at an early upgrade price and that I may qualify for a full upgrade after 7/11/09....

Guess it was midnight California time. Just ordered my 32GB Black at the low low price of $363.66. Gotta love the fact that California taxes you on the full price of the phone ($699). Oh yeah, my upgrade date before was 7/13/2009.

Everyone is taxed on the full price of the phone.

SO, I have a family plan. 2 iPhones. I've had 2 phones since the first phone, 2 years ago. Upgraded to 2 3G phones on the same day. Tonight, as AT&T said, I got the upgrade price for ONE phone, but not the other one. The second phone says I'm not eligible until March 2010?

Anyone else see this? I'm guessing this must either be an error, or are they only allowing one upgrade?

I'm in the same situation. I have a family plan with 3 iPhone 3G, and 1 RAZR2. All purchased on the same day. The main line is upgrade eligible for the full subsidized price, but the other two iPhone lines are only eligible for the $399/$499 price. Shouldn't those two iPhones also be upgrade eligible for the full subsidized price? I know AT&T technically only considers the two added lines as only $39.99 dollar lines ($30 data plan + $9.99 add a line), but the overall account is well over $350/month. So why is only the main line upgrade eligible?

Because upgrade eligibility is calculated on a PER LINE basis before taxes. Your main line is >$99/month, the other lines aren't.
