Forget it man. None of blue PCB 8800GT has 128KB EEPROM chip on it. Only green reference PCB and some with black PCB had it. All the rest had 64KB in which Mac ROM won't fit.
That is incorrect information, I found a blue PCB that has a 128k rom on it so that claim has not been validated and I am not the only one who has received a blue PCB card that had a 128k rom on it, what you propose is nothing more than a rumor without foundation.

I don't understand what you are saying. Are you writing an application to generate ROM files?

You realize that post #2 of this thread includes ROMs that can be used to flash 8800GTS card, right? I used an 8800GTS in my Mac Pro 3,1 for months until I upgraded to a GTX 285.

Also, you are resurrecting a thread that is over 1.5 years old and 8800GTS cards are no longer being manufactured. (Even the GTX 285 is no longer being manufactured.)
The provided roms do not always work in cards and some cards require tweaking of clocks and timings to make them work properly.

Yes I realize the thread is old but since the work applies to the intentions of this thread it is a good place to continue it.

What I am producing will take any nVidia card and create an EFI compliant rom for it thus ending the issues of compatibility making just about any nVidia card available useable in a mac (certian acceptions apply) and also reduce the amount of rip-off artists like applecrapanix who are using the earlier work to financially benefit from the results by making the solution available to just about everyone who has access to the internet and can read.

Interesting, you're first that I know with blue PCB/128K card. I've flashed many 8800 and what I know for sure, that all green PCB are 128K.
What do you think: is better to grab green reference card that is confirmed to work or buy blindly blue PCB cards with hope "this is the one"?
This is what I meant.
Read this and EFI32 thread patiently from teh beginning and you'll see that all (or almost all) reports about blue PCB cards are telling: it has 64KB chip. But if at least you have one with 128K, it's good for you (and maybe for others too someday).

Don't get me wrong, but I think, you've done piece of good work that nobody needs now 🙂 - like people are saying in my country. Don't expect many responses and co-operation though, because most people now are finding 8800 obsolete.

Well yes, the 8800 is surely obsolete in the grand scheme of things. But considering that Mac Pros have pretty limited GPU support to begin with, it's still not uncommon for people to ask about the 8800. The trouble is that right now, new PC 8800s with proper 128K ROM chips are virtually impossible to find (out of production). Companies like AppleCrapcanix gobbled up a lot of the compatible reference boards to flash them using free tools and sell them at inflated prices on eBay.
