Why? An 8GB 3GS is now $99. They got the same phone, with twice the memory for the same price.

I could understand if the 32GB 3GS was now $99.

Ah! You're right. I was thinking the $97 phone was the 3G. I'm wrong!

Walmart is selling the 3GS for $97. That's $2 cheaper than Apple, and twice the memory.

I noticed, and I don't like it. I'm getting ready to bring 4 lines over from T-Mobile, and while I'm planning on getting the iPhone 4, I told my mom and dad they could get the 16GB 3GS for $99 (if they had dropped prices like before).

Based on $99 for the 8GB 3GS, the $16GB 3GS would be valued at $199... exactly the same as the 4 of the same size. Hopefully they correct that... or maybe we'll head to Walmart.

my iphone 3GS 32gb, still has a pretty great resale value.

If upgrading to the iphone 4 wasn't so expensive, I'd sell it now and upgrade.

I hope my 3GS 32gb doesn't lose too much value next year when the iphone 5 comes out. I'll probably be better off selling, weeks before the announcement.
