They really are a bargain, the 500GB with 4GB ones. They are typically cheaper than what Apple charges for the 2.0 with 4GB and 320GB 5400RPM. You can typically get the 500GB Seagate 7200.4 upgraded ones for cheaper than the Apple 2.0/4/320.

There is another seller now with the 2.26Ghz with the Corsair 256GB SSD. That has to be a screaming fast Mac Mini.....$1799 seems like a good deal considering the SSD is $700 of that.

So you're paying $1,100 for the Mini portion of that deal? Doesn't sounds ll that great to me....buy the RAM and SSD and install it yourself into a refurb base model Mini for the best bang for your buck.

Well it's a decent deal when you consider all the software that it comes with (iLife 09, iWork 09, Office 2008 SME, and Adobe CS4 Master Collection). Then add in the 1 year parts and labor warranty, it seems like a good deal considering they will cover the $700 SSD for the first year. Also, you can't get the 2.26ghz on the Refurb Store, just the low or high end 2.0ghz....at $499 and $699.

Still not that great....

- iLife comes with the refurb
- Why would you need both Office and iWork?
- Refurb has one year warranty
- I imagine the SSD has some sort of warranty
- 260 MHz speed bump for CPU is insignificant (compared to the price premium you pay to get it)

Further...I can't see how legitimate licenses for all that software can be provided at that price. Adobe CS4 MC is $800 ($2,499 MSRP) alone.

I'm not sure why everyone is saying "BEWARE OF SCAMMER" and all. he has an almost 1500 rating and 98.9%pos. He's got a modded mac and selling it at a premium. There are lots of rich folk who would think that it is cool. Kind of like buying a premium sports car and putting some expensive aftermarket wheels on it that cost $2k each. Someone out there is going to like this and you gotta hand it to the guy for trying to make a buck instead of sitting on his ass collecting $$$ from the government. Or maybe he's doing that too!

It isn't legitimate. I see eBay sellers doing this all the time stating that it's "pre-loaded" and it's really fresh off torrents. My brother bought a computer and when he had to register it he was simply told to install a crack the seller had and never to do updates. It's pathetic.

If you were to buy the RAM from newegg it would cost you $400 so basically he's selling the plastic case for $600 what a DEAL!
