If anyone here thinks UPS can:

1) Get a package in China

2) Get it through customs

3) Through the international hub

4) Through your local hub

5) intercept a truck that has already left for today’s deliveries

6) and deliver to your home/business

All of that in less than 6 hours...

Next you’ll tell me there ain’t a Santa Claus

Of course not!

We’re just unsure of the accuracy of the departure scan. They have been wrong before.

I actually think my watch will arrive Monday, but at this point? No telling. Could be Monday. Could be today. Could be Wednesday.

I will say this...my UPS tracking NUMBER thinks it’s today. My UPS MyChoice thinks it’s Monday. Apple thinks it’s Wednesday. So, I guess it’ll arrive when it arrives, eh?

I think most are hoping UPS's tracking is jacked up and it's really not in China, but already state-side. I'm a skeptic like you though.

My delivery has similar dates and I called UPS and the lady said the MyChoice one is correct (so for me, Tuesday, and for you Monday).

UPS estimate on the tracking page says today because their system reporting when it will arrive at its first domestic location in Alaska. From that point the rudimentary system (publicly available system) will recalculate based on its domestic route. Apple’s 27th date is a worst case scenario. And the 24th in the UPS app is the most accurate because it’s based on internal shipping data provided to the local distribution center connected to your address in UPSMyChoice. Expect a watch reported to be in China today to be in your hands Mon/Tues.

Same boat here left China today’ and will arrive today. Not buying it. Hopefully before Thursday the 27.

The app and UPS says I’ll have my watch today but email received shows 9/27. If I open up shipment progress, it’s still sitting in China. Oh well.

My delivery dates on my order actually range from 9/28-10/5. No movement here, still shows in progress on my order page.

Who are you trying to convince right now? You've already said this.

For this on the east coast saying 21 if it ain’t on the truck my now it ain’t coming today.
Exactly. Even if the status updates are incorrect and the watches actually left China before today, in my experience if it isn't "Out for Delivery" it's not out for delivery.

I’m in the same boat as everyone else (tracking today, UPS my choice Monday, Apple 27th). I talked to 2 different people at UPS about something else and they both told me different things. One told me today, but then I got transferred to another person who said Monday (which was what I assumed and seemed much more realistic).

The real reason I was calling is that my Apple account says no signature required for delivery of the package. I’ve never seen this before with a delivery from Apple. Again, when talking to UPS I got 2 different answers (first person said I didn’t need it, second person said I did). Is anyone else seeing this on their accounts?

UPDATE: My aluminum S4 that was shipped last week for launch day delivery has just been delivered by UPS. If the SS one had somehow magically been set for delivery today, it would have been delivered at the same time, because UPS doesn't come twice in the same day.

Now I have to decide whether I open up and use the aluminum until the SS arrives, or just go watchless in the meantime (my S2 is being repaired).

if y'all track by reference number (either your phone number or order number less 2 last digits) you might get a more accurate tracking.

i did this and it shows that the package left China and "the package is awaiting clearing agency review. / The package is at the clearing agency awaiting final release" (AKA Customs). there is no actual delivery date so once it gets through customs you'll probably get a more accurate time frame when it will arrive.

i'll be using this instead of using the tracking number since UPS done goofed (again).

I did the same and you're right, it seems the shipments may already be in the US. But my aluminum model (that was just delivered about 20 minutes ago) arrived in Anchorage, AK on the 19th and travelled through Louisville on its way to NYC, so we can safely assume our SS watches should arrive in about 2 business days or so.

Actually, I may be wrong. I have another package on the truck for delivery today from UPS, so apparently they do come twice.

Like everyone else I got the same conflicting notifications (Apple - 9/27 - UPS Text - 9/24 - MyUPS - 9-21). Anyway I called UPS, was transferred to their international shipping (after the recorded message said delivery today 9/21) and she confirmed it is still going through Chinese export customs. Said the delivery date is Monday 9/24. I mentioned that in the past I was told on Apple products UPS had to attempt one delivery before a hold could be authorized. The lady said they had gotten instructions from Apple that for these shipments from China they could accept a hold - which I set up for Monday.
Still much better than 9/28.
Good Luck everyone
BTW - I was at the local Apple Store picking up my iPhone XS and checked out the SS Series 4: It is still noticeably heavier than my Aluminum Series 2 (have to decide whether or not I want the lighter Aluminum Series 4 for workouts - such decisions LOL) and if anyone without a caliper can tell the Series 4 is thinner, well they are full of crap IMHO, because my eyesight is still pretty good and I laid my S2Aluminum next to the S4SS and could not see any difference. (Yes I realize it is less than a mm difference, but I was mentioned several times between the various videos and at the Apple Event.)

Thanks for this info - have the same conflictual information so I guess best case is for Monday - very odd indeed and the no signature thing is very strange.

Yes, my order - originally in the 9/29-10/2 group says shipped to arrive 9/27 with no signature required.
