7 tbs opened on a 1 Gb device ? Mate, it's easy to do that, but I have to repeat the old adagio: you are using it wrong.

Dude, pls stop giving silly comment if you have no clue. Watch the youtube. I record how the iPad Air 1 refresh just on 7 tabs while NOTHING else is running in background.

I wasn't doing anything special, just doing online shopping on one of the Chinese "ebay" kind of site. 1G sucks on IOS 9. It not only does this stupid refresh, but it also lags when it compared to running on IOS 8. If IOS 9 can make 1G obsolete, then IOS 10/11 can make 2G ram obsolete.

And by the way , I am not using it wrong, you thought I was using it wrong, but the youtube proved that I am not.

I mean...who on earth would think 2G ram is appropriate in 2016 on a Pro line tablet AND pricing it as a Pro line tablet? Look at the whole thread, count how many people actually support Apple on charging their customer a Pro tablet price while give you a entry level iphone memory size. I dare you.

Are you being obtuse on purpose ???
you are speaking about 7 tabs (SEVEN !!!).

The user Count Blah stated that his iPad refreshed with just 2 tabs opened ! TWO TABS.
I can believe that a 1 Gb device could refresh with 7 tabs.
7 tabs aren't "typical usage" with a 1 Gb device. Deal with that.
Do you need 7 tabs ? Browse with a notebook.

Me , my son and my wife are using 1 Gb iDevices without ANY issue. We just know we don't have to open more than 3-4 tabs (and even if you open 10 tabs, they are just reloaded, it's not the end of the world).

2 Gb are absolutely appropriate on a 2016 iPad. Absolutely.
Entry level iPhone ??? again you are being obtuse on purpose.... the iPhone 6S+, top end iPhone, HAS 2 GB OF RAM.
period.

We all know 1GB DRAM is deficient. 2GB will be deficient if you run multiple foreground apps and switch between several apps and browser tabs without reload. Also, consider future proofing if one day iOS is allowed to run more than two foreground apps and support background running app which currently isn't enabled. For a Pro device it should have a minimum of 4GB if not 6GB. Personally, on my 3GB and 4GB devices I'm running out of memory before SoC cycles so I'm expecting 6GB minimum on the next purchase.

your devices are running Android, so your comparison with an iPad make no sense at all...
iOS manage memory in a different way, fortunately.

First you said it is easy, I proved that you are wrong. Now you are telling me it's not "typical usage"?

7 tabs aren't typical usage? ha. Browsing with a tablet with 7 tabs is too much on a tablet? haha.

People are driving cars comes standard with power steering in 2016 and you are trying to convince people manual steering is enough. If you need power steering , you are driving it wrong. hahaha.

I mean, look around there are so many tablet out there handle 10+ tabs with no refresh and cost less than $400 bucks. It's not end of the world, but you are paying a premium and getting less that is ruining "user experience" which Apple like to emphasize.

Iphone SE is an entry phone comes with 2G of ram. Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 comes standard with 3G ram. Welcome to 2016. iPad pro is freaking price at a Pro tablet and giving you 2G ram, which definitely will ruin "user experience" in IOS 10/11, just like how IOS 9 kill my iPad air as I show you in my video. No, I didn't use it wrong. Using 7 tabs on tablet is not wrong. You worship dated hardware without looking what other is offering in 2016 is indeed wrong.

In half a year I will quote you again how "good" the ipad Pro sales go.

You clearly misunderstood me:

it's easy to do that, but I have to repeat the old adagio: you are using it wrong.

It's "easy" was referred to say : "you are using it wrong", not to keep 7 tabs opened.

For the rest of the post it's full of nonsense. Who cares if Galaxy Tab S2 has 3 Gb of RAM ? It runs Android, so they can even put 32 Gb of RAM in it ... still useless.
iPhone SE isnt an "entry phone" by any means: it's just a 4" iPhone. It has the same SoC of the top notch iPhone 6S, so your argument is pointless.
iOS 9 didn't kill your iPad: 7 tabs were difficult to handle even under iOS 7 (actually it was worse under iOS 7 because Safari used to crash when low on memory). So your argument is pointless again.

Yes you used it wrong, because you should know your device before using it. You can open even 15 tabs on your iPad if you wish: they will be reloaded but still there.
The new iPad Pro isn't "dated hardware" by any means.
It actually is the second best tablet ever (after his bigger sibling).

in half a year the iPad Pro will sell more than any other tablet out there....

Buying an iPad Pro (either size) makes very little sense to me. The apps just aren't there and probably never will be. Considering the $1000+ price tag (accessories, sales tax) I think I'll wait until gen 2 to see what the "future of computing" looks like. Meanwhile, I'm hoping Apple doesn't screwup the new MacBooks in June. Given the series of stupid decisions they have been making, I am not optimistic. :/
