Massive? Lol OK still doesn't compare at all to jailbroken features that have been out for years. The improvements you speak of that have been so massive are what exactly?
[doublepost=1473583546][/doublepost]
A basic phone back then had a least a couple themes. iPhone still doesn't.
[doublepost=1473583653][/doublepost] You could also have your own ringtones easily.
You can have pretty much any random thing as a ringtone easilly on the iphone. try again

Okay, I see what you are, name nothing. A theme, really? You are entitled to your opinion and I will respect you opinion, but saying Apple hasn't improved much at all since the original iPhone 9 years ago is ludicrous. I have no idea why a theme matters to you, but just stick to android. I use both, I enjoy both, but I don't feel the need to trash one platform on a forum. Use what you like, get over it.
It's a joke if you seriously think Apple has, you can settle for mediocre all you want. If you want to pick on the one little thing I pointed out, go ahead. Who said anything about android, lol lol?

Lol you try again, how long have you been able to do that & how much messing around with iTunes to do it? Explain how easy it is to do?

Lots of changes and fond memories. I don't know, the 4S with iOS6 was still my favorite, I guess it was just all so fresh, new and exciting - or I was at a different time in my life than I am now. Thanks for the trips down memory lane. Amazing what has happened since then.

So you think Apple has done zero innovation in 9 years?

Not sure what you are talking about because you can also have your own ringtones on iOS and it have been like that for years.

Also, as said before, I'm not really sure you can say Apple doesn't innovate only because you can't customize iOS. This is all personal preference, most of iOS users doesn't care at all about customization, I bet they won't even apply themes if it was available.

Anyway, if customization is your number 1 priority (which is fine btw) you should make the jump to Android because iOS clearly isn't for you. Or maybe jailbroken iOS but this is a lot of hassle because you have to wait months for a new jailbreak and you are forced to upgrade if you screw your device.

How about you tell me all the amazing innovated things they've done compared to others. Like name 5, should be very easy.

Yawn, more picking on my one point. Same old excuses. Boring, go to android, blah blah blah blah....

Okay, Lets see.

1) App Store
2) Retina Display, While Others may have passed it, iPhone started it.
3) Siri, while google may be better, this is where it started,
4) Chips, Apple Started 64 Bit Processor, others are still catching up
5) 3D touch, not anywhere, but you can keep claiming long press is the same
6) iMessage, you disagree, but still the best way to communicate with anyone, most seamless, no other company can match it so far
7) Apps, invested the app store, and Apple apps are better then their equivalent.
8) 64 BIT processor: was unheard of, now android companies are trying to catch up.
9)3D Touch

So amazing! Imagine if they actually tried? I was more thinking of IOS features, since we're all getting picky.

No, You are just trolling or have an issue with the iPhone. Which is fine, use what you like. No one forces you to use an iPhone. Use whatever you like or works best for you. But you are insane if you think Apple hasn't innovated in 9 years, everyone has.

You repeated a bunch of them?

I think there has been improvement in many ways, we've also regressed in several as well.

I'm trolling, why because I expect more after nine years? Your best defense is personal insults? Ok, lol.

You better check the emails on the old iPhone, might have missed something important :p
Great pic man:apple:

100 emails! Pah I take your 100 emails and raise you 73,764 emails!

Theres a tones section of the itunes app. If you want anything beyond that it's super easy and I've been doing it since the iphone 3gs at least
[doublepost=1473588028][/doublepost]
So amazing! Imagine if they actually tried? I was more thinking of IOS features, since we're all getting picky.
Apple Pay - Yeah it wasn't the first NFC payment phone but certainly the first widely adopted one and easily the best
Touch ID - See Apple Pay (not first but first mass adopted and best)
Minimalist design - Droid has copied on this design since IOS7
Airdrop/Airplay
Siri
News app- scoff if you want but it's an excellent application if you've never used it and very convenient for those who read a lot of news articles
Homekit/ Home app- First app to combine the hundreds of smart home company's devices
Icloud - Easily the slickest performing cloud service as far as linking devices and I have used nearly all of them.

That's just a handful

I'm trolling, why because I expect more after nine years? Your best defense is personal insults? Ok, lol.

Nope, but honestly: If you can't see the big steps iOS did during the last nine years, you're either blatantly trolling or simply don't have a tiny clue of software in general. Sorry.

To name a few improvements, still (even though some were already listed):
- Handoff/Continuity
- Siri
- Notification Center, Control Panel, "Widgets"
- iCloud integration which gets better and more advanced every year
- Photo App, which got a lot of additions and improvements
- Airdrop
- 3D Touch (software implementation)
- massive design changes from clumsy and cheesy to elegant and simple
- faster and more responsive than ever
- massive security improvements across the board
- Touch ID implementation in App Store etc.
- 3rd party App interaction with Siri
- Notifications in general
- iMessage effects (even though they're childish)
- etc.

I could go on and on but I feel like I already wasted enough time feeding the troll. Also, all those features probably won't impress you anyway, as long as you don't get much more important (I had to laugh myself now, sorry) stuff like themes, chat bubbles and ringtones it seems. You should really consider getting a Samsung instead - they're really focusing on people who don't care much about actual quality of software as long as it's colorful and clustered.

Imo your opinion is dumb. A iPhone 7 can't even give us some of the basics a flip phone could do back in 96. Seriously??? Give us some options to personalize our $1000+ phones. I was just pointing out one little thing out of many things an iPhone still can't do but should after all this time. I expect more innovation after all this time.

A modern iPhone has like 100x the performance of the original, and can literally do hundreds of things the original couldn't even dream of doing. And you're worried about chat bubble colors... lol

actually pretty sad how little Apple has improved.

What are you saying ... iOS 10 is almost entirely devoted to iMessage and exploding Emoji ... and you can customize it by buying stickers, yeah thousands of stickers in the App Store.

Whatever you say but what else can we answer to a troll like this ? I mean the guy is literally saying Apple have not innovated in 9 years just because he can't change the freaking SMS bubble color or apply a theme. This is ridiculous.

Apple never allowed complete customization of iOS and will probably never do so the only choices remaining for him is jump to Android or jailbreak. Deal with it.

Plus this is not the subject of the thread so the guy is trolling and also making off-topic. Great...

Name them? What can't an iPhone do that a flip phone could?

Lose the battery when dropped. :D

You are entitled to your opinion and I will respect you opinion,

I don't always respect one's opinion, just their right to have an opinion.
