I just registered it at the Apple website...didnt buy the 3-year extension though.

Still waiting on the email to come from Apple confirming registration....how long does this take!?

haha...well sorry to keep everyone waiting. I've been extremely busy the last few days.

I bought the Mabook Pro, and it really is BRAND NEW. I mean, BRAND spanking NEW:)

It was still sealed, and it started up exactly like my iMac did for its first time (and i bought that at the apple store).

This was just a really great deal.

Thanks for everyone's input!

Luck Luck.... Just your Luck.. ;D (Pathetic movie btw)

Sorry for the rude intervention but seems like it was stolen.... thoughts?

Hopefully it all works out.
Would suck if the police come knocking on your door.
Doubt it, I guess the guy just needed money quick. Who knows.

Pathetic move? What's pathetic about getting a great deal on a computer?

Just becuase it was cheap does NOT mean it was stolen. I asked the guy, he said he was selling it because he already had one and his friend got him this one. What am I supposed to do, track through police records?

You're still alive!!!! :D

Congrats on the new computer!

I think the previous poster was referencing a movie btw...;)

As people have mentioned there are legitimate reasons.

For example, I sold a Black MacBook Pro last July for less than its price BRAND NEW, because it was part of an insurance claim. I had no need for the MacBook, so all money was money in my pocket.

Furthermore, it had a purchase date according to when the reseller got it, a couple months before the actual purchase date - a quick call to apple reset the registration date.

Movie or move? Maybe he was quoting from a movie?

Er..... glasses in order???

Though I wonder what kind of 'profanity' was used against me.... couldnt make it on time to find out... Mods edited it!

Anyway... this is the movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0397078/ avoid it if you can !

But frankly.... without any proof or the owner knocking at your door.. you shouldnt have any problems at all! Why I own some camera equipment which I '"think'" are stolen, but... I've paid for them and I am certainly not sure if they are stolen!
