Sorry about the damage. On another note, nice Mac Pro!

I don't see a Mac Pro. Anyway, the OP will need to buy a new glass piece, glass adhesive strips, a new hinge cover, and new hinges. It might just be worth it to purchase a new display assembly... It would be in your best interest to purchase a new display assembly, because of the time it would take to repair that yourself.

I am not sure if you have a 15" or 13" (but I am fairly certain it is a 13"), so I will just post links for both.

15" glossy display assembly
15" antiglare display assembly

13" glossy display assembly

thanks everyone for your help. There is a mac pro on the first pic, didnt realize that lol.

This thread is still open to suggestions =)

I went to apple and they quoted $881 for a new screen assembly... =(

Wow, was it dropped?
I'm glad my thing didn't spring open like yours did when I dropped mine.

AppleCare wouldn't have covered the damage unfortunately if you had it. You should probably still take it in and see what they say.

800 bucks....HUH???????? I just had my entire screen assembly replaced at Apple and the charge listed on the receipt was $367.00. Granted I did not have to pay because it was under warranty. What gives with the 800 price tag? Can post a copy of receipt is needed.

Ugh, im debating if I should sell it for a lame price. Its a great computer, just need a new battery and charger plus the screen. Im deciding if I should repair it myself or get a professional.

Apple said they need to replace the entire unit which is stupid because I dont need a new LCD panel or wifi antenna which is $867 canadian...

Ive opened many macbook pros and it's REALLY NOT THAT HARD TO DO THAT. I just cant seem to find what screws to tighten to fix the hinge.. My hinge isnt too loose but it rocks back and forth and I want to fix it!

Any ideas??
